Speaking about MC's family, HC2 was better crafted regarding NTR. Both, Aywin and Celis were strongly connected emotionally with the player. While HC3, Haylen the priestess, it's kind of sad situation, a not so young lady dedicated her life to other's well being, alone in that huge church, I think the player is happy seeing she could find someone to unwind.
Honestly, Ulrod getting cucked would be peak HC3. He's a bully, a rapist, an abuser, and a thug, but every time I see him my only thought is "What a pathetic simp." and I lose the ability to take him seriously. I view Cyanna as a lesser character not because she finally gave into a persistent man trying to get her to agree to sex, but because she gave into a persistently pathetic putz. The most recent update made it blatantly obvious that Ulrod is a loser who just so happens to know how to fight well due to a rough upbringing. The fact that he had a days long rage fit just made him out to be a giant crybaby. I'd like to see the revenge ending forgo the usual sealed god or valkyrie turned evil and instead just have Leto break bad and just start taking what he wants. The cucked becomes the cucker.
As for HC2 crafting better NTR... I mean, not really? Don't get me wrong I enjoyed HC2, but HC3 is far better in the NTR category for two reasons. First, it's actual NTR since Rose is cheating on Leto instead of emotional NTR since Cellis was never in a relationship with Noah and honestly treats him like garbage the majority of the time, Aywin also gives up on Noah pretty quickly for a mother. No one ever has faith in Noah which makes the NTR less effective, both Aywin and Cellis are riding dick using Noah's protection as an excuse when they didn't even have the decency to give him a chance to prove himself. Haylen may be less of a mother figure than a literal mother but that also means she's up for some dicking under patreon's rule set... so in the end it's win win.

I, on the contrary, love the romantic element in Ulrod's route . He is not a typical ntr antagonist motivated by blind lust, rather he is a troubled broken man with a lot of repressed anger and trauma.
And his emotional connection with Cyanna along with his untamed and violent nature is what adds to the thrill of the NTR.

Back to my point, what makes cy arc appealing is not strictly the ntr, it's to do with depravity but having ulrod cucked would make it true ntr. Seeing a physically capable yet helpless figure is the very epitome of the genre.
I also see a lot of potential in cy and also rose, being women in positions of power. One of my absolute favourite tropes is when a corrupted heroine is used to bring down her allies. Two of my fondest works both use this. In one, the queen aids in the capture of the brigade in charge of defending her kingdom and in the other, the doctor/mum of the group actuates the fall of the main LI. A loosening of core morals leading to the eventual betrayal of your closest friends truly signals that they are too far gone.
It's hardly a romantic element. Ulrod is a giant asshole who ultimately views Cyanna as his property, if it was romantic he wouldn't have pressured her and he wouldn't be constantly raping Alys. The impression I got of Ulrod is that he's obsessively put Cyanna up on a pedestal and wants to own her because he's given her undue importance in his life. Dude is a simp not a romantic.

Your question would come off better if you just removed the French man part, it comes off as super rude. It read like, "Why would someone who is French move to Japan?" instead of "What made you move to Japan?" It is just very rude sounding. Your question sounds like it's wrong for a French man to go to Japan, even though you probably did not mean it that way.
