Sometimes people want to do virgin runs before or after they do the opposite. Sometimes they just want to see how that impacts the story, if at all. Just because it's not fun to you doesn't mean it can't possibly be fun for other people.

I'm pretty sure that's still fun to the people who like challenges. I don't think people usually challenge themselves unless they think it's something fun. If people really wanted to just challenge themselves for the sake of it, hentai games probably wouldn't be their first, second, or third pick.
