That differentiation is relatively recent in the west. Netorare was used for many years as a concept that referred to emotional damage. It was very wide and very general. It could imply parenthood, or friendships.

But as it became popular, its fans started choosing what version of it they preferred and more precise concepts popularized.

I like them all being together as netorare, then, once inside, you can look for your netori content or whatever. For me all of them are ok. I find netorare more interesting emotionally. Netori is too close to the kind of fantasies I had with 14, it's already very well explored for most adult people that visit places like this. In my opinion, I mean.

Dude theres barely any netori games. Theres an overwhelming quantity of games with netorare or that are solely netorare that are mid as fuck. You know id be cool with the genre if it was actually good. But nah its just fucking dog shit. I think the devs that put netorare in their games are just looking for cash easy because people that consume and or enjoy netorare are so easy to fool. I'd love a tag to differentiate netorare from netori because in my experience most of the games ive played with netori are pretty decent.

Btw thats pretty cool info. I didnt know that this was a relatively new thing to the west market

some of these animations are super hot in this art style tbh. Questiont tho , in the gallery from the last version are all the scenes included or there are some u can get just from playing. even tho the game is hot the gameplay is questionable for me and i just cant read all that in the way it is....

Mar's: step-mom taught him to weaponize emotions. Using it to cause a rollercoaster of emotions, gaslighting, love bombing, and pure physical attraction. He is the ultimate weapon against women. It even killed his step-mother(she was insane tho)

Erin's: Mom taught him to repression and servitude. Her love language was service and attention seeking, and it's all she really taught him. She taught him caretaking, cooking, cleaning, even washing(he did it for Cecile often)

His Pededestal placing of women as taught by his mother. She was the BEST priestess by far, and very sexy- And erin being attracted to the woman he looked up to was a bad combination.
She was the one who originally used to 'service-reward' structure he lived by. When he struggled with insecurities, she only offered the same 'service-reward' structure for life- which left him emotionaly unequiped for the real worlds cruel nature.

As mother and son, Elena never set boundaries, while Erin seems to never have crossed it out of fear. He grew up to be emotionally stunted, timid around women, and to serve them.
Cecile only took one look at him a when they met, she was disappointed with him.

Also anyone else feel kinda bad for Eren with the way Cecille treats him (Eren lowkey retarded for not hooking up with sera clearly better wife material)

In this game real villain is the world and Goddesses who messed up with whole cast. Don't feel bad for Eren, he was set up for failure since the beginning, and feel good about him as he become a femboy/female to escape that destiny.
