Prologue class is determine by good score, bad score, and sex score. I'm not the dev, but I'm pretty sure this isn't a bug. There is a specific event where this is decided by your scores.

Also as a question for the dev, I'm personally curious about the craftsman path. Is it just an easter egg or are their any plans for it?
Crafter is basically a fail path if you don't meet the requirements for any of the other hero types.
I needed something there, otherwise the game would just end on an error for people that somehow made choices that didn't align to any of the other class conditions. There were never any plans to expand on this class, because he basically has his canon ending before the main game begins.

Hello All,
I can say that Heroes of Celtica v0.7.1 is complete with just some final QA testing to do. It will come out in two weeks to Omega Slam supporters just as v0.6.0 comes out for public release. Fans of the slow-burn storyline with Saivah will enjoy this one.
I have been spending some of my funds to buy new 3D assets for both STELLAR INCOGNITA and the next updates of HEROES OF CELTICA. Some of the nature scenes in HEROES OF CELTICA I really dislike, and I want to avoid using those assets again in the future if I can help it. I'm thinking of the scene where the Scythian and Finn chase down Avahn to his sidhe and they have a fight on that grassy field. If I ever have spare time, I'll remake the images for that scene.
Also, I need to ease up on some of the indoor lighting in HEROES OF CELTICA, which is way too red/orange in my mind. Even if not realistic, I think it looks better if the colors are lighter and more neutral, so I'll be keeping that in mind for the future.

Agreed. I find that a "slow burn" mind control story benefits a lot from having a character who falls early and serves the protagonist in some capacity as he slowly works on the other characters. Especially in a game that has a, shall we say, "episodic" release schedule, so the "slow burn" takes months or years to pay off. Plus, having a Renfield always just makes the sinister plotting more fun.

Someone asked the same in Patreon. It seems the dev is not entirely sure to bring her back. So lets see.

Those two scenes are found in the Champion route of the game.
Is there a specific path that we need on the Champion route? Because for me, when the hooded man and skull women attacks the MC on the boat and no matter what I choose, the game ends.

What version of the game are you playing?
From version 0.5.5, the storyline continues after that.

Hello All,

HEROES OF CELTICA version 0.6.0 is days from public release and version 0.7.1 will drop at the same time for Omega Slam tier. I've been adding some extra scenes to version 0.7.1 just when I thought it was complete. It's better to try and add plot points earlier when I can, rather than recognizing later that something needs to be added and doing it retrospectively. However, this is a work in progress, so there may be times when if I think the game will play or read better, I will absolutely go back and make modifications and edits - Dark Druid's prologue is an obvious example of that. One thing I will do retrospectively is make animations for the game and start adding them into Dark Druid. I'll let you know when I do that, obviously. The original plan was to have one animated scene per release, so I will try to keep to that moving forward, but no hard promises.

For the past week, I have been working on images for version 0.8.1 of HEROES OF CELTICA and I find sometimes the process takes longer than it used to, since I am trying to squeeze more light and shadow effects from the 3D rendering engine I use. CELTICA will never look as good as the most modern games using Blender and Iray with modern assets that have 4K textures, but I think it still looks good enough for the story I want to tell. Hopefully, the game will look just a little bit better now that I have a good CPU (the rendering engine I use is CPU based, not GPU based).

I did think about changing CELTICA to a new rendering engine with new assets, but that would have been way too disruptive at this stage of development and the art style would change abruptly. So the plan is I'll finish out CELTICA on the current assets and rendering setup I have and any future project I will start from scratch with more modern technology.

i'm glad u gave up on remaster the game(not as some devs that loves to rework mid game just to milk more paying customers)...i am very glad of this, finish the game and then next one use the new renpy...but pls don't use unreal enmgine ffs...

This version of the story is quite bland compared to the tale of Taliesin, which shares the same motif. Among the Celts anytime a magic cauldron comes up things tend to end up pretty weird. I'd definitely hold the Loki horse story is the weirdest.
Eh, it is very tame in comparison to some Egyptian stuff.

Like how Thoth was born during a struggle between Set and Horus, with the former "accidentally swallowing" the semen of his homie.

The description is quite funny from the beginning. The Scythian (i.e. from the Scyth people) is a hero of celts. Celtic nations lived in Northern-Western Europe so it's quite a mystery how a horseman warrior from Crimean steppes comes to the territory of modern Germany, France or UK and becomes a known hero there. For this thing alone that game is worth downloading. Let's hope the game itself is worth the synopsis.

You answer for a message that mixes up Scandinavian mythology (Elder Edda, to be exact) with Celtic mythology (Cauldron of Dagda from Mabinogion, if I remember correctly). You see, every ancient mythology has their own kinks, which are considered quite weird now at the very least. Birth of Athena from Ancient Greece, birth of eight-legged Sleipnir from Scandinavians, story of Osiris resurrection from Ancient Egypt, what the hell, even Old Testament stories (especially their original versions from Judaism) - they are on the same level, the level of their society. Think for a moment, what would real celt from the second century AD say if he saw modern myths. He thought Dagda's cauldron is a normal thing but even the simple thing like gender equality was something unthinkable for him.

I am fairly aware of all the funny stuff from myths, but even more "recent" like some medieval folklore or even literature have their things.(i.e. the Paladins of Charlemagne).

Also, to be honest, for your insular Celtic dude (Briton? Gael? Pict?), ignoring the language barrier, he would ask a lot of questions about the myths, because the stories he would know are very different from what we have, which came mainly from written sources during the Christianization of the Islands in the Middle Age.

Here it is - v0.6.0 of HEROES OF CELTICA, which is the first release to concentrate on the druid route exclusively.

There are a few things you should know before you play the game:

1) Play the prologue again through Dark Druid. There are new scenes to unlock and the 'good' and 'evil' choices have been removed, as the new prologue no longer acts as a character generator. There is now additional options to corrupt Etain or win her favor.

2) You probably need to start a new game, as the points and variables system has been slightly revised.

3) The Replay Gallery has been revised so all the Dark Druid (and subsequent druid) scenes are up front, while the other character types have their scenes on the final pages. There is some duplication here, as the Dark Druid shares scenes with the original prologue.

4) The first of the Patron-Only content is accessible through the Sigma Slam and Omega Slam releases of this game. It comes at a choice menu near the end of the current update where you decide your future direction. All patron exclusive content will be found down this path in the future.

If you are going to charge people for gated content in the game then it should be bigger than what is currently present. The paths end as soon as they begin.
