I dont know how to use the items in combat. I have the item in the hands and grab an opponent or a downed one. Then it shows the grid with the moves, and the item appears in the grid (show R with the icon of the item), but pressing R or R+ any combination does nothing.
Any ideas? It is a fresh unmodded install and a fresh save.

you need to manually purchase the items from shop then drag them to your character slots in loadout menu , then when you press R + any movement keys it will equip the corresponding items !

Thanks, but I have the item equipped in the hand in the combat (so it appears in the moves grid when I grab the opponent), I purchased and equipped it in a slot. Anyway, I will try R+ any of the movement keys.

Thanks for the heads up! The info is from Arctif's post here, so they may know more about what's changed - perhaps Grappler was a thing in v0.301 and removed in v0.31?

I had to change the key in optios to the F, then it worked.
