As far as I understood it. Atm the rule is nothing get added in the OP, except Official hotfixes Patches. (Some uploader still do it when they see a mod/compressed etc version)
Uploader have on some days Queues of 100-200 waiting updates/patches/etc. They want to reduce it to only the important stuff (Game updates).
While there are now 5 (I think) new Jr. Uploader, we still learning all the formats etc and until we are full Uploader, we are not responsible for updating threads, only making new ones.
Hopefully someday we can go back to post compressed etc in the OP. Or maybe get a new report button so game updates are only for actual updates.

I don't know how this website is handled. Sometimes there seem to be community aspects to it (which would suggest a participation of the community in some decision processes, as it works in some places), other times just your regular closed forum where things change and you just have to take it. I don't know how things work, and the only way I can learn is making (maybe stupid) questions. Asinine and offensive answers are not the way a community grows.

Are you implying that any of us remember what fishing was like 3 years ago? lol I just got to the fishing part and "easy" mode seems nigh impossible. Apparently Komisari says that if you lag it's almost impossible but I don't notice any lag so I have no idea what the problem is.
One of my many fears for this game is that Komi has spent so much time developing this game on a high end gaming PC that they didn't really take into consideration that many VN players are on toasters that can barely run RPGM or regular VNs. I wonder how much of future content is gated off unless you have a gaming PC with an SSD. He did say that fishing isn't required but I'd still like to play 100% of the game including the minigames.
In the new update the funniest part is the intro says "Soon™ there will be news" so he kind of did ETA the ETA and he also mentions he will at some point "release the first half of chapter 1"... 3 years for half a chapter either implies the chapter is massive or we're pretty much halfway to chapter 1's completion meaning the ETA for chapter 1's completion is probably 2 or 3 more years... I sincerely hope the reason it's taking so long for the first chapter is because it's a particularly long chapter and not that progress is slower than we think. I mean the christmas update took like 6 months right? It's kind of worrying. I guess we will have to wait and see.
Did I misread the intro text or did you change your mind? I swear the intro to the christmas event says you're planning on releasing the "first half" of chapter 1.
What kind of specs do you need to run the new update? My shitty laptop can run PS3 games which means I can run pretty much all VNs and RPGM maker games I've tried with ease yet somehow this game is lagging. I thought it was because I was on a HDD but I switched to SSD and it still lags. Either that error at the start that seemingly didn't go away after I installed directx again was an *actual* issue or this game is now designed for proper gaming rigs. Anyone else having a similar problem?
On a side note I played the chapter 0 on an even shitter laptop that almost ran nothing but basic rpgm games and VNs yet I didn't have these lag issues so if this isn't an error and this game has new hardware requirements then anyone with a shitty laptop who heavily invests time into chapter 0 then moves onto the christmas update is going to be in for an unfortunate surprise when they can't run any future updates anymore.

Try switching the software renderer (Hold shift when starting the game or use shift+g while in game)
