Ah. When you extracted the game did it say "file path too long" for one of the files.
Use 7zip to extract it not the normal windows extract tool. I had this issue too but I've seen it happen on a previous game I played and the 7zip method worked and fixed it for me.

Update: yea just dont skip through it and it doesnt bug the game and the dialogue continues. IF this happens to anyone else.

This is not the "completed" version btw. Quoting the dev: "Steam’s policies have changed a lot in recent months, and one such change includes adult titles losing the ability to release as Early Access (which was our original plan). We pivoted accordingly, and so we’re referring to the launch of ‘Hey Stranger’ as ‘Arrival’. (...) It's unclear how many scenes there are with each girl. And the game's ending is very strange. I thought it would be a different city, but you just leave and that's the end...

the animations are good but it's otherwise a very..vapid, nothingness experience, especially when every ending is exactly the same but a barely visible patch of pixels have changed to show who's in the car with you

Next week the game will be out in multiple stores, including Fakku. So you guys should be able to get them elsewhere from steam

Would have loved to know this as I preferred not to pick it up on steam but love the style, and quality of work so much I couldn't wait so ended up picking it up anyway! Absolutely love the game and you all really made something special. Thank you!
