Anyone know how to update with the 0.8 patch? I extracted the file and copied-and-pasted the 460 files into the "game" folder (replacing the files with the same names), but the game is unable to open.

If you've done everything correctly the game should open, it can just take a long time.. not sure why but this game has had a slow start up as well as slow loading saved games time for quite a while.
I had to wait like a minute before my game started up.

it's a massive AF game with 10+ hours of content...hasta load more variables and crap than majority of games on this site...harem hotel takes this long to load also and it too has a lot of stuff and content..

I'm making a v0.80a full zip. It's gonna be big though...
I was having a lot of trouble updating for Mac; if you change the name of the "HRC 0.8A Addon" file to "game", and Opt+Click and drop it into your autorun folder (Right Click -> Show Package Contents -> contents/resources/autorun), you can merge it with the content that is already there, so the new data is added, but none of the essential old is lost. A pure copy/paste gets rid of some essential files that aren't in the Addon.

You should get 0.71c full (engine upgrade) + 0.8a patch or 0.8a full.
There are a few missing or mismatch label in the new version. Easy fix. So, may be 0.8b soon.

if bugs count as content..lots of them..the update is basically generic blonde girl not really on many's radar...Izumi Ida Bailey would have been better choice....now the extremely long wait until next update begins...hope it gets back to the important characters and not generic sidefluff
To be fair...it's only one traceback..but it's with the new Asian dame Pei....and because of my lust for Asian hotties it feels like 10 tracebacks
