One of Charlotte's first phrases in the game is that Hillside is a city of perverts. It's hard to disagree with this assessment. Even the late Zac dreamed of fucking Charlotte. Against this background, there are only two adequate men: the caveman and Valentini. Moreover, he and Charlotte have known each other for many years. And you're saying that there were no attempts to develop friendship into something more? I believe in friendship between a man and a woman, but that excludes sexual attraction. And it's hard not to feel it for Charlotte. Unless, of course, you're gay.
Safe assessment, in that Valentini certainly doesn't give the "standard" hetero vibes for an AVN. It's not outright stated one way or the other, but to me it certainly appears that he's meant to be understood to being gay. If that's the case, why would he attempt to initiate any sort of relationship beyond friendship? It wouldn't be in his realm of interest, regardless of who the person was.
