I personally never noticed Charlotte acting like that but I assume if she does it's a way to cope with her trauma since she never got professional help as far as I know.

ah you are right read it first thing when I woke up and took the "what kind of mother she is" as she acts like a kid and why Emma is like that haha. But now I re read it when im not tired I see I just misread it and missed it was a reply of him saying what kind of mother Emma can be haha.
