Well, I might be wrong, but if you read between the lines, it would seem to me that the choices will(might) lead to different outcomes. You can already see that with the model if you choose Lucy, you can not fool around with the model. So it's a hunch from my side.
Hmm, strange.

Somehow it seems i've gotten an alternate path, i had the option of either stopping Kaylah giving me a good ol' rubdown or letting her continue (i let her continue :BootyTime: ) and she says something about it just being about sex, so there's no problem (something to that extent).

I still had Lucy get jealous (and Charlotte ofc) but i can't seem to get it to trigger again, i went back to an older save and sure enough, i either am on the Lucy path or on the Kaylah path.

Did something change between updates to prevent this? This is quite odd.

Sigh... I really hate games that don't offer Harem. Not because I need some weird power fantasy of having all women...

But because I want to see as much content as possible, and very few games make substantial enough changes between routes that I can be arsed to replay the entire game for them. From the top of my head the only one I can name is Haley's Story. Most other games I just play one playthrough and that's it.

Cause quite honestly, pressing skip read and going through the game in fast forward just so you can catch a few different scenes or altered lines of dialogue just isn't worth the hassle most of the time.
Do you mean lots of same contents over and over again? To me it's just doing the same thing over and over again with a lot of women, it's boring. I don't want to to watch/read something that you already know the outcome is. In harem games you already know that you'll get every women, even if you're not into them, they're still gonna find whatever reason the dev made up to be your women. You already know that there wouldn't be any men that can get them, you don't have to worry about that and don't even have to do anything really, all the women were already scripted to be drawn to you no matter how many men are after them. Even if you reject them, they still won't end up with another men, they would rather be alone than with any men other than you. It was scripted that way. It's boring.

I would tend to disagree with that; while a great many games lack the inventiveness to properly and [at least partially] realistically groundwork for a harem [we all know of at least one], there are some that handle it pretty well [like this one or maybe this one], and in the latter, there is even the possibility of losing out to someone else, as in the latter linked example. I think the dev has painted themselves into the corner with this game, but maybe they could turn things around to appeal to a wider base. A lot of it is going to depend upon what is going on int he dev's headspace.

I guess it's different strokes for different folks.

Regarding the 2 games you mentioned in
1) (SL)Awesome game but I hated the ending. (Married to everyone and everyone pregnant....boring)
2) (BS)As far as I can remember, In the end you only end up with one girl in the epilogue Obviously much better ending then SL. So not a true Harem ending (I will admit I did not play all paths)

In terms of Harem games, I think Parental love pulled it pretty well.

Back to Hillside. At this stage, you do not miss much content on anyone's path. But you are leaning towards a love interest.
I do not think Hillside will consist of a lot of sexual content. If my suspicion is right, you will resolve the story and end up with one of the girls and have sex with her once or twice.

The way the MC and female characters were written, an Harem will make little sense.

Those are both exceptionally great games. Two of my all time favorites. But the groundwork in those games is very different from the groundwork here.

I agree that a harem where Charlotte and her daughters are sexually involved with the same man is a hard sell. Mostly because of Charlotte's, almost psychopathic, focus on protecting Emma from virtually everything. A protectiveness shared by Suzi. Further, with regard to a relationship with the MC, I see no possibility that Suzi would settle for anything other than monogamy.

I can see a possible path where Charlotte, having fallen in love with the MC and witnessing her sister's pain, is willing to share with her sister. Mending her sister's heartbreak in a "house hold of three" might work, but a harem path would require a completely alternative storyline.

Yeah, unfortunately, I'm pretty sure David ends up dead in either Episode 11 or 12. I'm also assuming that the threats against Jason initially blow up in the MC's face. But, of course, he'll find a way to correct the problem(s) associated with that and keep the ladies safe.

Still, the way Hillside is painted, the corruption is too deep for anything to be done overall. Realistically, I think the best we can hope for is that the MC can keep the Lloyds safe (including Lucy) and get them out of harm's way. It's possible Kaylah ends up safe as well (if she'll just listen and agree to Charlotte's warnings), although I have my concerns for her. Since Victoria from Retrieving the Past showed up, maybe Charly can get Vicky to agree to hook Kaylah up with work wherever she and Jensen live. Just GTFO of Hillside, FFS!

When i play SL in earlier version, i already knew that one of the daughters will eventually broke up with her boyfriend, i knew that somehow the dev would find a way to make the boyfriend as a bad guy, and i was right, and that was my point, it's too predictable. Everything was scripted so that you (mc) have all the reason to be with the girl. Babysitter is a great game, everything in that game makes sense to me because it wasn't a harem game. There is possibility for losing the girls because the game has ntr route, not because it's a great harem groundwork, it wasn't even a harem.

Yeah, it seems like a Good Ending is MC getting the Lloyds out of Hillside forever. Especially since Charlotte has the idea of retirement in her head anyway.

I guess you played it with the walkthrough/mod/cheats/whatever, but there are several chances that you don't end up with a harem; sometimes you only end up with one, depending upon your choices.

And it did not escape my notice that you didn't mention the other game in question, which neatly rebuffs all of your concerns.

But that's neither here nor there. There are lots of reasons to come here and whinge about the games - greedy/lazy devs, buggy games, lame storylines, all of the characters looking the same, etc. And yesh - sometimes the predictability of the plot. But here's the thing - these are porn games, my friend. As far as story goes, Steinbeck or Mishima they ain't. Just like in a porn movie, the pizza delivery guy does indeed want a tip, and that is not a banana in his pocket - he is happy to see him/her.

It is, for the large part, fantasy fulfillment, masturbatory aids. Sort that bit out, and just about everything else falls into place.

So, if you are aiming for a Pulitzer or an Oscar, I suggest you roll up your sleeves and get to writing. Then find someone to do the art [aka, the heavy lifting], put out a game and await the sort of scrutiny you seem peachy keen with unloading on others.
