He says he had to watch the model Emma die. To me, that assumes he was either there when Jason killed her for trying to go to the cops, or he "watched her die" in some obsessive, psychotic way. Both explanations fit.
there is no way that mc is the murderer of emma and does not remember it.
then the policeman saw when he killed her and now he tries to take revenge on him, and failed??
It would be a very dark plot twist.

It hasn't been explained, but I believe that Carter was the one that was ordered by Jason to kill Emma with the overdose. So he had to watch her die. Then tell her parents about it. This was the beginning of his spiral although he might have already been crazy. He seems to at a minimum be suffering from some form of personality disorder.

I guess that he was a corrupt cop under the influence of Jason or that other Hillside prick, who later used blackmail to force him to kill Emma or cover that murder.

My guess was he was Emma's (the one that died) stalker, and he was angry at the MC for not protecting her from Jason, Jason was the one that gave her the overdose, and Carter was called to the scene and had to see her body, and it made him angry especially toward the MC, and he probably blamed Charlotte as well for some reason, so he put a plan in motion to bring back the MC, let him build a relationship with the new Emma then when the time came he was going to make the MC and Charlotte suffer by watching Emma die or finding her body.

And you will probably find the MC will be arrested as he has killed a cop, no matter how they want to claim self defense they just can't let him walk, but he will call agent Fox to help out. And you will probably find when they look into Carter they will find some disturbing things, and if they go to his apartment they will probably find photos of the Emma but they will probably find photos of the MC and Charlotte with knives sticking out of them and more than likely a shrine of some sort to the Emma that was murdered.
And another theory i had was that Wolf knew about Carter's obsession with Emma and probably blackmailed him, and after Emma's death he probably told Carter to deal with it and make it look like a suicide.

It is far from as cut and dried as your comment suggests. Rather than restart the debate, you might want to scan the last many, probably too many, pages where various of us have beaten that entire notion into the ground. Buried it. Dug it back up. Beaten it again, and finally laid it to rest, mostly from exhaustion, until the next update.
Simply put many here share your opinion. Many do not.

There was no reason to start a debate in the first place, i was just passing an opinion or theory as it were, if you wish to reply to it and tell me why you either agree or disagree you are more than welcome to, and yes i have been pretty much seen what people think and what would and would not happen, I talked in terms of maybe this will happen and maybe that will happen as I can not give a definite response as to what will actually happen.
That is the fun thing about these threads it gives people a place to discuss these games, and pass their opinions and theories, last time I checked we are free to do that. If people choose to agree with me or disagree with me then that is their decision, and if they no longer wish to discuss it then they don't have to.
As I said - this topic has been discussed in walls of text, in which I have participated. Dismantled, analyzed, pondered, debated, and exposed to dozens of observations from possibly every point of view. It's actually a pretty interesting discussion. You might enjoy reading it.
You've been around here a LONG time. Far longer than I. So you're not going to sell "I was just passing by" to me. I informed you about the past level of discussion that this topic engendered, so that IF YOU CHOSE TO SO DO, you could read the various previously expressed opinions and points of view and decide if you had an insight that, so far, hasn't been revealed. Discussions on internet threads tend to dog pile or otherwise loose focus. A fresh set of eyes often spot something missed in the debate/discussion as opinions solidify.
Doesn't matter really, we'll all find out in the next update.

I have no idea what that is even supposed to mean, as i never said anything about just passing by so you have me stumped as to why you would even say something like that, and again last time I checked I am allowed to pass an opinion on this subject weather it has been beaten to death or not, but by all means i will go through the pages to again to see how you so masterfully broken down every part of their theories. I have no doubt it will be a wonderful read. Oh and adding the little bold statements in your typing, please try not to be so angry.

I have come to the conclusion that what I really want is an Emma + Suzi throuple ending, but with a different MC. Hillside's MC can choose between the adults or just rot in jail, whatevs. New college stud MC gets the younger sister throuple. All rejoice.
Edit: Or, have young MC time travel to Hillside from before he joined the army, got that terrible tattoo, lost his hairline, and had his dick/balls blown off, so he can save old Emma and bang new Emma + Suzi. I'd buy that for a dollar!

Guess i will have to ask you a favor and point me in the right direction as i am unable to find out in the search button anything to do with Carter being the stalker. So any help you can provide where i should start would be more than appreciated thanks.
