The scenes and models of this game are made with Koikatsu, there are many similar games and they are becoming more and more popular.
If you haven't tried them yet, I recommend Fujino's games that are very good, there is also an NTR game by Konosuba that is not bad and a VN called King of Summer that is also good.

Currently extracting, according to the previous posts Ch 6.5 should have less scene wise but more on the lore side. So far I enjoyed the lore.
I'll let you know.
Just to be sure, this is a disjointed kinetic novel, there no choice of opting in or out of content/storyline nor choosing path?
It is not disjointed. Scenes are chapter dependent and follow a set order. You do have the choice of viewing some scenes before the others.
Otherwise the only "optional" content is just observing how people around you behave. All scenes concerning the protagonist and the lore are shown.

What version are you playing on PC or Mac? and is it one of the compressed versions?
Does the compressed version have any big disadvantages? whether the quality drops a lot or something

Very minor image quality drop. Honestly, it's probably not noticeable to most people. Otherwise it's 100% the same.
I'm just starting but so far I'm digging this bigtime. I don't know what it is about this game, the art, the storytelling, the characters, but I just adore it! There's something about it that just feels right.
