Last time I tried this game it felt like only one Li had a good amount of content to her. I believe her name was Jennifer (she's the one that met me on the plane). Is that still the case, it seems like a lot of content was added for others since I played last. Regardless, this is a great game keep up the great work dev!

First. Gotta have the new room. You stroll into the Night Bar and see Jennifer and Yumiko talking about lingerie on the night Yumiko works. After a day or two hang out in your room afternoon or evening and they'll show up and model for you. You get laid by Yumiko. On another night Yumiko works. Ask her out on a date.

Actually you probably had Amy as your plane girl. Yes, a lot of content has been added. I would suggest downloading and reading the Companion Guide. The most current one hasn't been posted yet, but the previous one will certainly get you started and provide a lot of useful information. It can be found linked on the first page of this thread.

Quick fixes for HI 0.4.5.0 until I release an update

Bug list:

• At the beginning of a posing scene you get this error with a crash report: NameError: name 'l_who1' is not definied -> fixed with changes to "interactive_posing.rpyc"
• During the pool posing scene with Fay you can get the following crash: NameError: name 'ffade' is not defined -> fixed with changes to "loc_pool_faye.rpyc"

How to apply a quick fix file?
Open the folder where you installed Holiday Islands. Then navigate down to the folder named "game".
Extract the files from the zip there and if asked, confirm to overwrite the file.

That isn't 100% true.

• Aly's event at the beach near the ocean where she shows the MC a picture of Jennifer has been re-rendered and new pictures have been added. Dialogue has been improved and the event is now repeatable. -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

Now, if you want to say Aly's 'new' content isn't what you might want it to be (i.e. sex with her) that would true. Yvette is also a unique girl and more of a fan favorite than Aly. Look how long it took for a chance to have sex with Yumiko. Good chance sex with Aly happen whenever the developer decides that is something he wants to include. Until then, one can only be patient.

I cannot speak for the developer, however I believe he and others have pointed out before, Holiday Island started as a way to display his artwork outside of DeviantArt and to further his knowledge of coding. Taking that at face value, Holiday Island (unlike many games on this site and Patreon) was never intended as a means to make money. Just a guess on my part, but another reason you'll never find it on Steam. It was, and is a hobby, done in the developer's spare time. Just him, no one else. Which means, at least in my mind, he can do whatever he wants, since it is his game. Players just have to accept that some girls are more popular than others and even the developer has his favorites. People can decide whether they want to support him or not, same as whether they play/like the game. IT IS A FREE GAME.

It's a bug, I will fix it tomorrow when I'm able to replicate it.
It's caused by changes related to this new feature:

• The old posing interface (where you can zoom in/out and can ask the girl to turn left or right) has been upgraded to support better conversations between the characters. The MC can answer now, same as he already can with the new posing interface. -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

In the meantime, before the crash, open the console and type this:
l_who1 = char1.fname
This should prevent the crash.

yes, fanboying a porn game is very cringe. keep living in your delusion that DarkHound hasnt been taking advantage of his gullible patrons for years with subpar content. I mean, its the recipe for success is it not?

1. start new game with tons of effort with continuous updates and welcome to feedback
2. continue for a year or two until your game makes it big
3. with you new found patreon success and reliable paycheck methods, you can now decrease your workload by around 50% and now deliver updates twice as slow, while wasting your time doing "revamp scenes" on scenes that were perfectly fine to pad out content and to give the illusion of "new" so you dont have to be creative.
4. Profit (your newfound success will also give you fanboys, which will drown out constructive criticism so you dont have to change your ways)

Yes, because 'end the game' is totally constructive criticism. You can't be that delusional.
