A small selection of all the content is true that's not the most intuitive, but anyway, what's the problem of a try and error approach? Nothing in the game is something that can't be done again. I may have taken the companion guide less times than fingers in both hands, and I follow the game since the times of 0.2.0...

It was more of a stimulus-response thing. after I'm not even sure how many days of insomnia. After one of those I always come to having left increasingly aspergerish comments all over the internet.
One time I woke up with Washington Post subscription, a full year, apparently for the sole purpose of doing so. Or that's as close as I can guess. Having literally never read a single headline from that paper at any point in my life before or since.
It is normal that achievements get reset when they are improved in a newer version. That is the indication that you need to revisit them to see the improvements. The phone is not a gallery like some other games have, so don't expect a scene replay there.

Anyone else having an issue with weekly and all-time trophies disappearing? Butt / t shirt contest trophies always disappear from my save within a couple minutes it seems. Maybe has something to do with loading a save file?
