Version 0.5.0.0 - development news (updated 9th of March 2025)
Hi guys and gals,
this post offers you a collection of news about the next version of Holiday Island (0.5.0.0).
You can see the main focus and side areas for the next update in the above image.
The change log below is based on the release 0.4.5.0.
As of right now, the update from 0.4.5.0 to 0.5.0.0 has:
891 additional renders, videos or sound files (only includes post worked, finished renders)
5 new backgrounds for the phone
153 updated renders or videos
New features, major improvements and new content
- Joy gets a pole dance posing scene in the night bar's pink room -> still working on it
- Joy, the winner of the titfight event will get a special evening and night with our hero -> still working on it (renders 90% done, post work 50% done, writing 50% done)
- There will be a huge titfight event at the bar with all the specials and some guests -> still working on it (event is done, working on game integration and achievements for phone)
- The listen to chat and rumors function will be very much extended. For details, please check this post -> still working on it
- Jessica gets a new room service event with two achievements -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Amy gets another "stay overnight" appointment at her room that's using the same base renders as her existing one, but with some new renders, an additional achievement and changed texts -> will be part of 0.5.0
- A new sub location for pool billiard will be added to the night bar and Amy will get a repeatable scene with three achievements. She's wearing her special dress during the game -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Desire gets a new drink scene at a table near the bar wearing her regular dress. The scene has three achievements and a story about a day at the beach with her twin sister Passion. -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Desire will get a new nightbar drink scene on the red sofa wearing her sexy clothes. The scene will have three achievements with a story and a happy ending. -> will be part of 0.5.0
- A new, extended intro dialogue will be added for all characters that have matching attributes (like body type, breast size or height). During the dialogue, the girls will get additional affection points based on matching attributes. This will reduce the grind in the beginning of the game.

Congratulations on nearly getting to the finish for this upgrade. Especially since you mentioned in some places that you had a hard time personally. It took a long time, but then the list of additions is very long too. I personally like that better than games that ship updates every two weeks, but provide only 15-20 minutes of play before you have to shelve it again.Only a little more than 2 weeks
And there will be an update later today.

Not sure what you mean by a saved game for Jennifer. If I understand correctly you want one with all of her accomplishments completed? This is a huge mistake. One of the major achievements is the player room upgrade. You have sex with Jennifer during this. It is not repeatable by any means. Defeats your entire purpose.
Asking for saves for this game is like wanting to go on holiday to some island
and instead of actually going on holiday to that island, begging other people for a few of their holiday photos. You'll only get a limited preview of the result of someone else's preferences - why bother at all?Do these people content themselves with eating the already digested remains of other people's meals too?

No one is trying to be snarky about it. This question is posed more than any other on this forum. It has been discussed many times on why asking for a save goes against the purpose of the game. If you choose do a search on this thread about asking for a save and see what you get you will understand why it receives a cold shoulder.
Hello and sorry for a potentially stupid question but how can I see which girls have the most sex scenes?
So that I know exactly who to pick at first (and hope for to arrive later) if I want to have a playthrough with the most sex possible?

If you need to have a count of it, read the companion guide and make yourself some list or whatever. You'll need Faye to unlock the gym shower, and different girls are needed during Joy's questline. I'd guess that Yvette, Jessica, Alice and Amy have about the most achievements to unlock, haven't played in a while though. Every girl is worth having imo.

I thank you for your answer but i probably should have mentioned that i only started one playthrough and went on to day 7 and thats all... I guess I really might have to read the guide but I am afraid I will be spoiled a lot more than just knowing the number of sex scenes of the girls.

I haven't read the guide, so I can't comment on what would be spoiled, but to answer the rest of what you're asking, there are a few things to note.
I'll start by saying that I play games for the stories, so the sex scene component isn't important to me. There's a decent amount of per-character storytelling, some of it is now well interwoven with other characters, and everything is well gated, so progression is smooth and things don't come out of order. The main story is still pretty light, but when you factor in all of the things going on with the girls, there's enough story to get a good read.
In terms of sex scenes, if that's why you're here, there are a lot. Many of them can be repeated through random events, but some don't repeat. There's no gallery that I'm aware of, so once those are done, you'd either need to load a save, or start a new run to see them again. Many of the one-shot scenes do share renders with later scenes (so they kind of repeat), but I don't know if that's going to be a long term goal. In terms of people like Jennifer, some of her scenes don't repeat at all yet; Amy, without spoiling it, has an event where the renders are re-used after a main story event is done. It's possible that we'll get everything 'sort of repeating' at some point, but, as I said, I'm not really here for the sex scenes, so other than them being needed for quests, I typically didn't push myself to repeat them.
You can skip a lot of repeatable sex scenes by turning down invitations. If you turn down, rather than don't show up, there's no penalty (that I'm aware of at least). So, if you're like me, and are more interested in progressing a story, or progressing the story of a given girl, then you can typically turn them down. But if you get a message inviting you to do something, check your quest log before you turn it down, because it may be that you're being invited to progress a quest!
It doesn't matter who starts on the island. There are a limited number of slots (unless you use a console command to change it), meaning that only a certain number of girls are there at once, but, other than a few staff members who turn up over time (or in response to events being finished), you have access to the pool and can change them out (the staff stay and you can't send them away; they don't occupy slots). You can talk to reception, and use Company Favour/Credit to invite or remove girls. You need to send Yvette away as part of her main story/quest, and then bring her back, so even if you change the maximum resident value, you'll be using it.
You do get a unique scene from the 'girl on the plane', and a second unique scene. I don't think there's any lore there of value there, nor story related content. It does make that person easier to start with, and progress through their main story/quest as a result. You can only have one girl in that position per run, so if those scenes really matter to you, you'll have to start a bunch of runs.
The game progression is very well done, and it's heavily gated. But other than that, it doesn't matter who you start with, because everyone is always available (you just may or may not have them on the island). This can be a bit of a pain at times, but it's not too bad.
You need to complete certain quests with certain girls to progress through certain areas (the sauna and access to Sarah come to mind). You can either mod the total resident count (which makes some scenes really hard to get) or you can invite/return as needed. If you don't like a girl, you can send her away. Staff stay on the island, but generally don't block 'need to be alone' events (they'll generally 'step away' as part of the event, or before it starts, after you attempt to do it).
If you get stuck, you'll either need to struggle through working out what's next, or use the guide. I didn't need the guide to work it out, but if you're not paying attention to what people say to you, the quest log may not be enough.
The game uses random generation in a lot of places, so saves and rollbacks can be good (I don't know if you need unren for it). If you want to rollback at all, make sure you don't use URM, as it prevents it. Because it's renpy, I don't think the random number generator changes on rollback, but loading does change it. Chances are it won't matter most of the time, but some low odds events are a huge pain. You can use the console to force certain events (e.g. removing the shower sign on the door after you see it, and/or forcing success for certain rolls).

I will add this note. If you stick with the first part of the Guide you will learn a great deal about the 'mechanics' of the game. Your phone in the game has hints and requirements along with info on what stats are needed. How to access them and their meaning is in the first part of the Guide.
Spoilerland, at the back of the Guide is like a walkthrough on how to complete the achievements for each girl. Not really needed IMO, but maybe that's just me.

Hi friend, I don't think it's a stupid question you asked, but I do think you didn't pay much attention.
At the beginning of the game when Joy gives you the laptop to choose the girls, she explains the different tiers and there she says that the Unique girls are the ones with the most content, followed by the Main group, then the Regular girls and finally the Side girls.
And this is the reason why it's useless to ask for the saves.
I recommend you choose according to your tastes without paying attention to how much content the girls have, because at the end, to unlock all the content you will need all the girls to leave and come back, so choose the ones you like the most and enjoy the game.

Okay, one might say you picked kinda unlucky because Aly is, if I remember correctly, pretty much the only girl that doesn't give you actual intercourse yet, which seems to be what you're looking for. At least among the interchangeable, non-staff girls.
But as others have mentioned, it doesn't really matter much. You're not limited to only some girls for a playthrough, you can (and should) have them all - they only won't fit on the island all at the same time.
Regarding achievements, they include sex scenes, but aren't limited to those. In your phone, you will find achievements for each girl. That's the closest this game has to a gallery, it will only replay the renders of the scenes, no text. So, more of a slideshow really.
So, you have your main game interface where you're roaming the different places on the island and choose different interactions with the girls. All those 'cinematic' (lacking a better word for it, English is not my native language) interaction scenes will equal some achievement where you can replay the renders.
As I said, Yvette, Jessica, Amy and Alice have about the most achievements iirc, so generally most content. That doesn't necessarily mean most sex scenes, but it works as a reference point. Still, unlocking those achievements is usually tied to reaching certain stats with the girls first. There might be another girl that requires less overall stats to get to a sex scene earlier. I don't really pay attention to those requirements as I tend to just max out all stats via the companion mod and be done with it, so I wouldn't know.
Progress can feel slow at the start of the game, especially when it's the first time you're playing and you don't really know what to do first. Some mechanics only get unlocked after a few days, inviting girls to the island for example. I believe Mercedes and Miriam, two of the staff girls, only show up around day 20 or so. You'll have to bear with that.
To get going, you'll want to train up your stats (charm, looks, strength, endurance, sneakiness) and those of the girls (affection, love, lust) to unlock achievements. If you wanna speed up that process, do as I do and use the companion mod. I'd advise to only raise your own stats to one point below max level via mod and get the last points by actual training, because I had trouble with that in the past, though it might be fixed by now. Also, you won't be able to raise Amy's stat maximums with the mod, you'll have to progress through her questline for that.
As I already said, try to get Faye early to unlock the gym shower and the sauna, otherwise just choose the girls that attract you the most first. You can get quests from the doctor (one at a time) to get access to implant data for all girls currently on the island, get all of them. When you have a girl's implant data, use your phone app to hack it to get more info on the girls.
