I haven't played but is there any indication in this game that it will be leading up to an eventual "oyakodon" situation, where the guy steals the wife and daughters too? I love that scenario and it's hard to find it done well, so hoping this goes to that length eventually

Sure. You can change names for at least, mom, dad and both daughters. Not sure about Jerome. I guess Rachel comes from someone who changed a name since its not one I am familiar with.

After the beginning scene on the road MC awoke in his bed and I can give the children usernames - but Stepahnie seemed to be fixed, so I asked.

Change Stephanie to any name you want.
Download the edited save file and replace it.
Done.

Yes, the name seems fixed but if you start a new game and choose episode 2 or later you can give her another name within 9 or 10 letters.

They don't necessarily come here unless the author does it. The part that pays doesn't leak anything. This is a pirate site where they try to get people to pay the authors as well.

yes that was in the last update, and the page up for hints was 2 updates ago

Wish I knew of this earlier. Most of my issues with the game was the confusion of what to do next. That and all the bugs.
