I'm always still surprised at the number of MC's who are either basically children or else are extremely slim and weak looking. If I'm playing as a hero in a game, porn or not, I want him to look like a hero. And in a sex game, its a hell of a lot more appealing to see two (or more) fit, hot adults going at it. I agree that I'm very grateful that this game is packed with people who very much look and act the way that I always prefer in games. Finally, an MC that is neither fragile looking nor an obnoxious horn dog. And potentially very powerful at that. Praise the Goddess!
Yea I can see that. Then again a lot of games have the MC as an "18 yo boy" and I'd imagine that the number of 18 yo that are are 6 foot + and jacked isn't that high. I'm fine with simply decent frame and personality. Doesn't need to be Adonis incarnate, though this MC has been cool so far. Imagine that not being a moron or dickhead is actually a selling point.I'm always still surprised at the number of MC's who are either basically children or else are extremely slim and weak looking. The MC doesn't need to look like Chris Hemsworth to be believable though, right? A lot of young guys are at their full adult height when they're 15 or 16 years old, and most look fully like young adults by the time they're in university. The fact that a lot of MCs are signifigantly shorter and smaller than the women in the game is just freaking weird, and makes it hard for me to enjoy it.Yea I can see that. It still has the chosen one vibe cuz the MC was born special(albeit lost his immediate family and lived alone in the wild) so everything feels a bit too convenient and easy so far but eh.
No. That's why I said decent frame and personality. If you wanna talk about self insert, well I'm not the tallest guy around but not the shortest either, so an MC being above average height is low on the list for me. There are some tall gals out there and I guess some players want the "Mommy milf" thing even if it's not directly played into. Also the theme of the game plays a part. The MC doesn't need to look like Chris Hemsworth to be believable though, right?
I've actually been kind of wondering that too. I know it's hard to quantify that sort of thing, but from an outside perspective, when we don't know how big the planned update it, we don't really know how to interpret the update.is there approximate percentage of the progress? numbers of renders and code is nice and all, but doesn't really tells much beside development speed
I'm sorry, it's very difficult for me to guess a percentage. I usually have no idea how many renders will end up in any given scene, and the script is constantly shifting based on how the rendering goes. Sometimes I drop entire scenes, only to add 2 more to make the story flow in a way that feels more natural to me. And still, none of this even accounts for the testing phase which is literally impossible to estimate.is there approximate percentage of the progress? numbers of renders and code is nice and all, but doesn't really tells much beside development speed

However, now that my move is over, I'll set aside some time to work on a better way to display the progress. I may not be able to do an 'overall percentage' for the entire game, but I should be able to give decent estimates on individual scenes. It will still be a rough guess, but it will certainly be more informative than my current system and everyone should have a better idea of the game's progress.
Give me another week or two and hopefully, I'll have a better report system for everyone.
EDIT: I was rendering an animation today, so I worked out a new report template. I may still need to make some changes over time, but for now, it will do.
Maybe not for this update, but it might be worth looking at Naughty Road's progress chart format he landed on for this update, makes it obvious that progress is happening and gives a rough description of total completion percentage, but nothing concrete.I'm sorry, it's very difficult for me to guess a percentage. Sorry homie, I'm not a development studio, I'm only a part-time dev who has to work 2 jobs to pay the bills and is still falling short. I've also spent the last 3 months apartment-hunting, packing, and moving, and there's just no getting around a delay like that. While I am at fault for biting off more than I could chew with this chapter, I promise that I'm not "milking" anything.Good damn.... another game on 9 month cycles. At this point... who cares about story. I forgot it anyway While i think this is one of the good devs but seriously, they all seem to be milking it nowadays. Stupid patreon model...
You really should just ignore those idiots.......Sorry homie, I'm not a development studio, I'm only a part-time dev who has to work 2 jobs to pay the bills and is still falling short. Sometimes a homie gets off an 8h shift and can only manage to spend an hour or two working on the game before they pass out. Sometimes a homie has family visiting on weekends and entire days of development are lost. Sometimes life happens and other things have to take priority. I imagine that half of the people you think are "milking it" are actually trying their best but just have other things going on. Very few devs actually make enough to survive off of. Unless you're one of the top 100 games on this site, or you manage to get your game on Steam, you literally can't afford to do this full-time. If I tried, I'd be homeless by Christmas...
Apologies, this isn't meant as an attack. I'm just hoping to give a little perspective. Developing a game is a lot more work than you might think it is. In fact, you should try it sometime. Worst case, you get a little insight into the development process, best case, you enjoy it, find a new creative outlet, and everyone gets another game!
