So basically you bit off too much to chew and now want to change to a different/easier-to-manage game, thus leaving this one incomplete or abandoned as most other devs do.
(Have seen far too many devs say "I may come back to it later", and the game never sees any more content).
That doesn't build too much confidence in you as a dev when you change your project on a whim. Not speaking for anyone else, and not insulting as I enjoy the game you were working on, but it comes across to me that you wanted to "test the waters" when making a game, then when you got the audience, threw out your "real idea" as a replacement.
In the end, it's your game and your choice. Just know that some won't enjoy getting invested, only for the game to stagnate while the dev they follow goes about a completely different project that could possibly see the same fate if it doesn't "turn out how they wanted".
