If you go into HS1, and write down all the attributes (like: Body Height: 0, etc) you should be able to put those same variables into HS2 and get the same character. It sucks that you have to do it manually one slider at a time, but if you really want that character, you can do it.
Is it me or is AI Shoujo rendering better in studio then HS2?
HS2 also seems to be a mess with the reflection probes.

idk this game causes my cpu usage to be very high and my pc is very loud...idk if i should bother download it?other games like God eater 3,code vein and the witcher 3,fallout 4 arent causing that much noise like hs2

In one of the recent updates to HS2 via KKManager, the mod with the 3d pubic hairs set was removed from the game. Unfortunately, I don't remember where I downloaded it from and who the author of the mod is. I'd love to bring this great mod back. Can anyone help me with this?

I'm pretty sure that was one of the mods by Rose. He asked ScrewThisNoise to remove all his Rose mods from sideloader and the repacks. STN complied, and updater deleted all the Rose mods that weren't in /mods/MyMods. I think the one you're looking for is [Rose] AM_pubes.zipmod

I find that I spend most of my time with the game in the character editor and sometimes not even play the actual game at all lol. I feel like it's much easier to... appreciate the models in the editor rather than in-game. I also never find the H animations to be very interesting or pleasing. Rather they look kind of mechanic, it's hard to get a good camera angle and it simply doesn't feel interactive. Where do you spend most of your time?
Another topic that I think would be interesting to bring up here is the question of how this game (or H games more generally) fit into your sexuality. Do you feel like it compliments other social or masturbatory sexual habits well? Or do you think that, like I do, that there is also a danger of overrelying on something like HS2 in our sexual life? Interesting questions... I do spend around 50/50 "creating"/dressing/accessorizing girls and fucking them. I enjoy both aspects of "gameplay" tbh. I just wished there were more diverse and interesting clothing and accessories. I just wished for more fetish oriented clothes and accessories (there is just one corset to chose from, for example), although some interesting stuff is starting to appear (a ball gag is now part of the repack and I found a nice strapon somewhere).
The tattoos are also getting more interesting with each update, although we still have only two "slots" for them, which is a shame.
I also wished there was an easy way to switch roles: girl fucking a guy with a strapon or a "futa" girl. It can be done (and I've made it), but it is not easy.
Oh well, I guess I shouldn't complain for something 100% free, I guess! ;-)
Regarding "overrelying on something like HS2 in our sexual life". No, that is NOT a problem for me. In the end, if HS2 contributes for people relying less on real life porn, I think that is a good thing for everyone involved...
I can totally mirror your gripes about the clothes. A vast majority of bras don't look appealing to me at all and the majority of tops is just plain bad to look at. :S But I am optimistic that this will get better and better as time goes by and Illusion Soft makes more games.
With regards to HS2 as a hobby, I will admit that I occasionally install and uninstall it in order not to get distracted by it. It's easy to get caught in the "need to make my character even prettier!" vortex and waste lots of time haha.
Also I would agree that HS2 is a better medium to consume compared to real life porn. While I do think it remains questionable to me in some regards what it says about me/our society and what it does to me/our society that I am fine-tuning the horizontal spacing of a virtual girl's boobs, in the end, if anything, it's definintely less harmful than the mainstream-ization of amateur porn and the commodification of actual, real women through porn in general.

Illusion Modders Mod 24/7 though, within the year this will get flooded with content. It's just too bad hongfire got invaded by bots.
I mean, aside from being inherently Illusion assets, it's not like they are copyrighted or otherwise protected, so I'd say yes.

As for my thoughts, it's a good game, not great, but good. I wish things had gone as hinted in the previews and it turned out to be a free roam style game like its predecessor instead of a repeat of the first Honey Select, but it does run significantly better than its predecessor, likely because they didn't do a terrible job in optimizing it like AI Shoujo. It has earned the eighth spot on my list behind both Artificial Academy games, all Artificial Girl games, and even Koikatsu with two others taking up sixth and seventh.
My time is mostly spent in Koikatsu due to some studio projects that require that game speciffically, though I do mess around in this one's studio as well. I don't play the game itself as often as I used to since I'm also creating a custom class in Koikatsu that I am porting over from Artificial Academy 2 by hand. However, when I do actually use the characters, I spend less time in the character creation than I do in the studio or the game by far. I only go into the character creation one time and spend however long I need to make them look satisfactory in that one time unless I need to adjust something due to clipping, like a neck accessory clipping into the neck, which is the most common culprit.
As for how it fits my sexuality, I don't mind getting a bit personal since stating such a thing won't risk identifying me on a known pirating forum and it doesn't, I don't include games of any kind into my sexuality. It also can't possibly do that as I identify as Demisexual, I must have an emotional connection in order to have a sexual connection, to put it simply, and there just isn't enough to this game to trigger an emotional connection.

So for you I suppose it's more about creating a really nice looking scene in the studio or getting that VN-esque bonding experience in the main game?
I suppose part of the reason is the fact that even though HS2 probably is one of the most "advanced" H games out there, the interactivity and the story still feel extremely shallow to me, so much so that I simply don't bother trying to connect to the characters emotionally. But if I could then this would definitely enhance the experience, because whenever I see the character intros before H starts, them saying something that matches their personality, I feel like I get a glimpse of them acting like actual human characters, instead of soulless sex toys.
Another part of the reason to me is that neither the female nor the male characters in Illusion games ever show any type of character complexity (AFAIK from what I played so far). So much so that many players like myself will gladly use the built-in option to blur the male into a blue silhouette instead of seeing him together with the girl. Of course, changing this would mean that they have to invest into better writing, an actual story, more animation set-pieces etc. etc. So I understand why they haven't done something about it so far, but I also think this is holding their games back a lot.

That's because you raised her hate or another negative stat to be the highest one. The music indicates what state she is in and what you described sounds like the hatred state. If you don't get her hate down, she will try to leave once it maxes out. To change it, get her to stop hating you. Basically stop doing what she doesn't like, even better, do things she does like.

As for creation, I just go for the best I can get the first time. I didn't really start out in the studio, just creating girls. In fact, the first girl in my demon family group was actually to fulfill a challenge issued on here by another user a few months ago, then I just took off with the idea after I took some gravure and other shots of her. I usually focus completely on the game part.
As for getting engaged, yes and no. I do get engaged, but I treat it like I would a normal game, but with extra stuff that the ratings boards would give it an instant adult rating for.
As for Honey Select 2 itself, there's a reason Illusion rarely does anything complex with their characters. A lot of their customer base is in it for the customization aspect, which explains the major upgrade to customization over the last three games. AI Shoujo and Koikatsu were the rare exceptions to this since they did include a small and pretty inconsequential story and still got their customization beefed up. Most of their games focus on creating your own characters instead of having an established cast, which having a story would almost certainly require. They also rarely keep much of their staff around between games as most developers on the Japanese side of the industry prefer to go mainstream to avoid a stigma against porn that almost certainly originates from where their laws on censorship do, a conservative view of sex likely forced upon them in 1945. This stigma is so prevalent that they even keep their exact job a secret from their closest relatives or spouses until they go mainstream to a company like Nintendo to avoid the shame. It's still very much an honor driven culture.
I mean, that's what survival mechanics are, a grind fest. As for the story, they did step in the right direction with that, balancing both the customization and story elements, but they kind of ruined it by not optimizing the game properly, which is why it only gets 20 FPS. That's where the biggest problem was. I haven't played it for a long time BECAUSE of that stupid lag, instead favoring this game since it can use characters from that one.
I agree on the graphics, another good move was that they upgraded from where the other games with a more realistic art style were and then continued using the upgraded art style in this game, but they needed to do both story and the better art style.
People talk nostalgically about the Artificial Academy series because, while they were sandboxes much like this game, the player had the freedom to roam to an extent and the AI was much better than anything in any game after Artificial Academy 2. That game was and still is their greatest, funny given how old it is.
I'm not so sure about the fetish part, but their culture is what led to the downhill climb we've been seeing in the first two of the last three games. This game was at least a bit of a recovery.
I downloaded the big mega pack and extracted everything. How do I play? I keep getting write error's when trying to extract using winrar.
