Hi,
Thank you for the Latest information on what's going on regarding the Mod Creator. I just looked at there website where they're posting the mods and I personally think €500+ for a life time membership is a bit much in my opinion after some of the stuff was free ( I Know it takes time to make these mods and everyone has to make money especially in this Economy. But it also Doesn't seem fair on the people who Can't Afford to buy the mods. Also after 4 years just to go I'm putting it behind a paywall just seems wrong IMO)
Also Sorry if this comment ruffle some feathers and I understand that there are real life people behind these mods I'm Just sad that they're gone from the BetterRepack because they're mods are brilliant.
Nova
I feel it's fair because it's punitive action against the community of dipshits in general, and taking the post at face value...yeah, fuck HS2 community (outside of this forum).

I think it's sad to punish a bunch of people that have no business to do with whatever issue they are having with a few people. At the very least could have left past mods as they were on the Patreon site and do whatever you deem you need to do from here on out. To go and back lock almost all mods and remove them from Sideloader and peoples installs seems a bit excessive to me.

Thank you I will do that from now on =)
Those mods inside the BetterRepack SHOULD be safe when updating. BUT this K1T0 move changes everything :/
What we have learned here is do not have blind eyes when updating via KKManager.
I remeber a post from the good Ol' TurboJoe explaining his updating mods method: Launching the updater manager, next, see what mods will be removed and back up those ones in a different (my mods) folder, then run the updater, when done, check the game if it runs good. one never knows.
We have seen an example with Hanmen mods, the previous version run well in some machines, when the new version came out, several users reported issues and needed to roll back (downgrade) to the previous one waiting for a fix cames out, in those cases, always backup everything before move to another version.

It's their decision, but still it's a bad move in my eyes. They have flooded the game with mods, that are so widespread that a noticable amount of cards will report errors. I would have understood, if they would have done it for future works, but withdrawing the stuff allready shared via BR is a bad move.

First of all - thanks for sharing the mods.
Second - I personally think they're justified in ''banning'' their free mods from the community at large, since free mods are supposedly a show of good will and love for said community, so when that same community (supposedly - haven't been to that dogshit discord server in years) shows them nothing but scorn and allows them to be ''bullied'' (allegedly) by another modder..Idk, it makes sense to me to want to lash out against the ungrateful. They also said that there was a risk of outright deleting all of their works and pulling the plug, so this is the better option.

As I said, it's their decision and it's fine, when they don't distribute their stuff anymore. But they should keep their hands from my or our mods folder. That's what they did by withdrawing previously freely shared mods and by STNs SideLoader wide spread mods from it. They are one of a few modders, whos mods are used for many cards. We are for sure not talking about a niche mod, that barely get noticed, when it disapears. Give it a bit of time, until more ppl used their KKManager to update the sideloader and you'll see many asking for missing mods from previously working cards ...

Isn't that BR's doing though? KKManager will delete the mods, not the modder. I'm also pretty sure you're encouraged to make a backup of your mods before updating, unless KKManager will hunt them down and delete them without consent on update which isn't how it used to work iirc.
And if the impact is felt then I guess they've made their point - their mods were very widely used and apparently will be missed, yet they were shunned from the community (allegedly). Like I said - it's a form of punishment for the community, the disappointed peeps are welcome to complain in said discord server and eventually some of them will find their way here where people like you will help them out.

They do sound pretty pissed. But it could be they just feel the Capitalist pinch same as everyone else and this is just an excuse to start charging for their effort to make mods.

I think if you are damn good at something, and you happen to need money to live IRL, charge for that shit.

I agree i wouldn't think they would have removed the mods from Sideloader unless the modder in question specifically asked them too. You would be a person that knows how it works being you have mods in Sideloader yourself?

Exactly. STN is adding shared mods to the pack himself. But he will remove them only, when they cause problems or the creator asks for it.
