With dblin, you don't get that. Yeah, he has a shop, but only part of his mods are in here.
I really want to get his new Yuffie, but it is literally impossible to get it unless you were subbed to him prior to her release and she isn't in the shop.
I just want to point this out, as far I am aware DBLin only really had a exclusive mod that is Vindictus Fiona that was only open to subscribers to buy (I am wrong as Fiona is on Patreon Store, his Aerith on the other hand is not, not sure about his early Tifa status since she have a free version) . Everything else was put on Gunroad to buy before Patreon opened their store and apparently Gunroad did something to piss people off as they moved to Patreon.

The way I remember is originally you could sub and it was the typical Pateron, sub a month and get everything ... then he closed his Patreon to new members and put each month mod in Gunroad a month after it was released in Patreon, Yuffie will be there next month since thats how things been since he closed his Patreon to new members.

One thing I can say about him is that at least he releases the character head often with 2 hairs as well a outfit, his outfits are a bit "hit or miss" in some areas but at least he adds then with the head mod.

With Darkruler you are now paying for the current month head mods and one of the previous months head mods and you can see the problem, imagine you want Black Cat and Fang ... you have to sub two months for then.

Also I hope nobody accuses me of being DBLin ... I never liked his closed Patreon model but then Patreon gone and turned into Gunroad apparently so what can I say? Its what a lot of people are doing now and were doing before in Gunroad so ...

Edit(2):

As for Yuffie ... I think this was simply a question of popularity as well model availability (were do you think Artoria come from?) so as Tifa and Aerith were very popular characters and many head models were created for then, Yuffie was not ... it shouldnt come as a surprise since McM82 put Ryza many times in the polls and yet she keep losing.

Yes, some people get banned for stupid shit and some don't. Mysterious how life is simply unfair.
I can only point you to pixiv and how some ''questionable'' content creators got nuked from orbit and others are still active despite breaking the same ''rules'' (aka they weren't mass reported by some bitch).
This is true...The hammer doesn't come down on everyone equally.

I always forget about that fact. Of course people are more likely to jump on the characters that are in higher demand. It's so obvious, yet I always question why characters I'm interested in get ignored..

I'm not sure there is an ideal way of making money modding but also not piss some people off enough to pirate their work out of spite.

The "ideal" way for both sides would be to have enough supporters willing to pay to get your mods early for you as a modder to be fine releasing content for free at some point. I'd imagine getting extra money from specific commissions helps with that willingness as well. Ideally at least.

Annoying as it may be, I get why some might want to keep things behind a paywall, even if they seemingly get the amount of paid support I mentioned before. There's a difference between that and just being a greedy asshole though. As much as a permanent paywall might piss people off in general, the way someone goes about it matters much more I'd argue.

I do ultimately agree that there's no pleasing everyone though. Even if you do release things publicly, the time it takes can still lead people to want to resort to alternative methods of the high seas. Not that I have anyone in particular in mind when it comes to taking forever to release things publicly...

So many to respond to!

Can you show me how to take screenshots and videos from Studio Neo without anything on the screen, like menus, etc.?
U can press spacebar to hide menus in Studio as well as the main game. Then F11 away.

Is there a way to increase the UI scale for the plugin settings menu. Its so tiny I can not really read it well unless I face plant my TV. Running PC on my 50 inch at 3840 x 2160.
The game settings max out for me at just HD 1920x1080 resolution.

You can take screenshots at higher resos by adjusting the Plugin Settings:

I have not tried it but if you go here, you may be able to adjust the game's resolution there also.

I can see how DBLin and Xyth24 are evil to keep charging for older mods. They should change their last name to Nintendo. As for me and mine, you all can help me to be a good modmaster when I grow up.

Say I develop 10 girls that are super amazing to enjoy in Honey Select, AI Girl, and other digital platforms. On Patreon, I sell these quality girls (called Honey Pots?) for a specific period at say $25-30US each, then release them freely after their "Fresh" period ends--lets say 60-90 days. That gives me ample time to create 10 new top quality girls to sell in Hive 02, 03, etc. In the same business model, I establish a membership or "club" where people can join up & support me for say $10 a month. For that $10 they get exclusive access to new clothing, hair, and custom animations to Character Maker, as well as updates to the main game's H-scenes--yes that is possible. Not to mention I offer patrons a 50% discount on Honey Pots, as well as custom commissions--yes I also do that--any girl IRL or imagined so long as she's legal. I also would like to set up a Game Support Request station. Supporters and happen-byers alike can file a request and get a response that hopefully helps them in their game or game projects.

One thing I was thinking that could REALLY piss people off is to sell my girls just like my Uncle Jim does AR-15s. He is what is called an FFL(Federal Firearms Licenser). He's like 50 and not a lover of computers so I help him sometimes to vet customers by taking their ID and running them through the FBI database to ensure they are not ex-criminals or worse. The law then demands whatever weapons are bought be forever linked via their engraved serial number to the buyer's ID. This is so if there's trouble, meaning the gun is used in a crime later, authorities have some lead to catch the culprit.

My idea was to distribute my girls with hidden serial codes and restrict them to be sold only to vetted members of the "club". To be vetted, you would have to provide a selfie of you holding your valid ID--essentially just like walking into Jim's store and showing your ID for a gun buy. You will then be able to place at order for one or all my girls. Her/their serials are linked to your ID in a MySQL database so if she is ever re-distributed here, Kemono, or other places, I will know exactly who shared her.

I know it sounds like dick moving here. But it's hard to argue this relatively simple security won't completely eliminate unauthorized distribution of virtually any digital product online.

DBLin's patreon is still open to new subscribers. It's just they have to have a Patreon account that was made before 2023-1-1. I can verify this. Because, I was able to subscribe a about a month ago. But, yes he does have a much stricter Patreon subscriber model than most other Patreon page owners. Though, I'm not sure the reason he made it this way or what difference it makes for him.
I see now that someone already brought this up. Also, before you ask. Sadly, my payment for this last month to DBLin didn't go though since I had my debit card locked and didn't have the extra cash anyways. But, I'll share who I got during my one month of DBLin's Patreon subscription. So, here is Honoka

Imagine you go out and work like a d__ for 12+ hours a day for a small salary and come back exhausted and see this, someone leaks something you spent a small amount of time making every night for a month and sells it to them for what to them is just a meal but to you that amount of money can feed you for a few days.
Then other people will take it and trade it or resell it. You lose money buying mods while they spend nothing and still make money.
