I don't mean to intrude, but seeing all of you talking about bad optimazation has me wondering if there is something wrong with my machine.I am probably spoiled by playing most of my games at 100+ fps too. Its just that the problems HS2 currently has are absolutly not necessary. If they dedicated more people towards resource management/optimization and fixing their Global Illumination (because whats tanking the fps is not the big textures, its the lighting system) this game would be way more enjoyable.
But as someone mentioned, Illusion mainly hires college students who are looking for an entry into the development career, so i should probably cut them some slack.
Anyway. If i cannot snob about porn games anymore, life has no meaning.
I'm not looking for pity, but playing on an Intel HD2500, the game loads in seconds even with 4 gbs of memory and less than 1gb of video memory. After loading the game is in constant 20fps never chugging even when changing animations. The "AI-generated cum" is the worst resource in this game for FPS aside from maps.
By all means, if you are looking for that battle station gamer experience, try just turning the map off; should help you girl suck you off at 60 frames at a second; honestly, not being less than 15 fps you're all golden with the animations. Behind 15 you'll see some amazing wacky stuff.

Possibly dumb question but are graphics in this better than HS1? Wanna know if it can run at all on my craptop.

What kind of reqiurements has got this game??? I have i5 4690k, 12GB RAM and RX460... There is slideshow.

No, I don't think so without officially owning the game and/or living in Japan, plus I think it's disabled by default in the repacks.

The monastary of Koikatsu Shoujo. (That's just a creative way of saying over time in the Koikatsu and AI Shoujo threads)
Actually, first was HaremMate in 2014 and Honey Select in 2016, plus a few others before Koikatsu, THEN it was AI Shoujo. Every game since HaremMate has been in Unity and usually a completely different build from the previous game. This is the first game to use the exact same engine as its predecessor.
It's actually way better than Daz since Daz is ONLY modeling software.
Oh, but it does. Any improvement is improvement overall even if it has no direct impact that is plainly visible.
They used Unity for HS1, it is one of the earliest Illusion games to use that engine and is seen by most as the starting point of the Unity era of Illusion games, which isn't exactly true due to the first being HaremMate two years prior. I can say, very happily so, that the optimization this time around is very well done. My game is running perfectly.
That was because they didn't optimize AI Shoujo well AT ALL.Some fair points there, AIS ran like absolute dogshit on my machine but the reasons for that game's issues have already been pretty well-covered elsewhere.
I get a solid 40 in HS2 in the most complex maps and H-scenes with every currently available graphical tweak turned on, I get that's problematic for some, but when there's dozens of current-gen "AAA" titles literally locked at 30fps, I'm not so fussed about losing frames in a porn simulator.
I certainly won't be streaming it, and having a higher framerate than the next guy isn't giving me any sort of advantage.
I don't know what Illusion are like for patches after release (if at all?), possibly there'll be fixes further down the road either from them, or a REALLY dedicated modder.
Yes, HS2 is a surprisingly heavy load, but so far, every reported performance issue that's actually impacted how the game runs for me (and a lot of people over the last few weeks) has come from mods in the previous repacks, not the game, and those issues have already been patched out.
And as for the "majority" of people not being able to run the game, I see plenty of people across a few forums and Discords I'm in asking whether their dust-filled, ten year-old potato can run this. They probably won't, but that's PC gaming, folks!

You've maxed her Hate, or broken her completely. If she complains during H and you have access to the Forced Missionary, then it's Hate, if she's all floppy and useless all of the time without making her cum, then she's broken.
This is right on encounter, before I get the option to ask for sex. I'll try starting it and seeing what that gets me. Broken is actually what I'm trying to get her to, but I only got pain to rise and nothing else by anything other than actual sex, like spanking. EDIT: There is one called forced position, so I'm guessing hate and I will have to start again if I want to break her. EDIT: I got it, using forced begins to break her. That could be useful to put in the FAQ.

You aren't spanking hard enough, then! That should increase Pain, but not as much as horse-whipping does.
As for getting her to break, I rinsed through the game pretty fast in the first few days of release, before there was any info really about the gameplay mechanics. I made a bunch of girls all with completely different traits and just played.
Looking back through the girls from that playthrough, the one that broke really quickly has the traits Timid, Glass Heart and Sex-Hater. She broke almost instantly and I wasn't even trying, I had no idea the mechanic even existed at that point. I still haven't looked at any of those guides, but looking at all these red bars, looks like Perverted and Masochist and a regime of whipping are a pretty good combo, too.
I think, depending on their traits, if you basically edge them and don't let them cum, that's a quick-ish way to max out their hate, same as cumming in Clean Freaks, I think

It's 16Gb of game and 38Gb of optional mods. Every post and download link to the R2 pack explains this, as does the FAQ on the front page.
Any eta when VR support will be added? shows it on the launcher but missing files. First one looked amazing in vr.

I really appreciate how he didn't put this in the readme or anything but instead just threw it down into the comments of some random patreon post. This sort of coordination and organization is why I love the online modding scene.
So the VR mod he's talking about is an adaption of the old VR mod for koikatu, honey select 1, and other illusion games. The "problems" he's referring to are probably because that mod is based on the IPA mod framework but his repack is based on the BepInEx framework and the two are not compatible. It's taken me a bit of crawling around back alley discord links and github repos and trying to modify the original mod to work with this repack of HS2 before I learned the fundamental incompatibility. If you really want VR right now before they add official support somewhere down the line, you can try fiddling around with it yourself if you'd like, but it probably won't work without a fresh copy of HS2 instead of this repack and even then it'll be a headache and a half to get it all running. I've attached the stuff that I think you'll need to try and get it running anyway.
