Always strikes me as odd when a dev removes content, then releases a "newer" version with less stuff than the previous version.
Never played the abandon pre-remake version - what is different about between the versions?
I think the old version was at 0.5 and the current version at 0.4 - so is it possible that some content hasn't be remade yet?

The difference in the quality of the renders. The developer is gradually redoing the renderers, as new hardware has appeared. Perhaps there is still not everything that was in that game, but it will soon appear.

i played through form the begining of the game because my save wouldnt work, there was no knew content that i saw with the v0.5 update

I am working on a story, and every content has its price, so it is necessary to support development. Besides, you become a patron, you have different awards, depending on the level of patronage.

Giving extra's to patrons is nice if you value them supporting you in extra's menu or such, hiding a main part of the game behind a paywall will keep people from playing your game or playing a maimed game that will keep them from wanting to support you (at least it does for someone like me). Consider how long these games take to develop. Jump on the bandwagon to support from day 1, isn't done by paywall content when there is not much content to start with. If you want to give something extra to patreons you add extra scenes and fluff that doesn't take away from the game itself.
