While the basic idea is good, you posted in the wrong thread.
He did not simply abandoned it. He told there are problems and didn't take money at the end.

Totally agree with you. High percentage of people do not recognize the hard work of the 3D Art and story, unfortunately.
Grinvald's 3D posing and custom characters require lots of time (Same situation happened to "Above the cl0udz", abandoned, has really good 3D art and posing).
For example, this game has a "Furi0sa" movie scene in it. Really liked when I saw. Twins bathtub action is (was?) a really good example of proper posing.

Opposite of this, I have to say that game's name (which has huge fan amount), grandlandlady's home, has mixed characters (cartoonish & normal), no facial expression, no proper posing, no story, no post processing, nothing... But has lots of fan, I do not get it. I have prepared some fun stuff using ph0t0shop and Clip Studi0, but afraid of their fans [)] I did not post'em. Developer worshippers are really harsh some time .
