BESEV for the record this is impossible the water has to go somewhere. If its not in the river's, ocean's, ect it has to be in the air and a higher air moisture content will only increase plant growth an make the planet more green. Additionally the air can only hold so much water when it reaches a certain point it will condense into clouds and rain. Basically there is to much water in the world for us to ever run out. I doubt you will but it would be appreciated by anyone who actually understands basic science if you came up with a better world scenario the whole thing is implausible and breaks immersion.

Do you know what it means to be a work of fiction??? Please don't embarrass yourself anymore. Fiction means you can suspend reality in creating imaginary concepts and worlds. It is a sign of high mental intelligence and a form of creativity.
Not that your statement shows any. I pity anyone who isn't capable of imagination as the world would be very dull indeed.

You can't just explain everything away with "its fiction." Any fiction is only believable because it maintains a relationship to reality. Only terrible writers just make random shit up. A sign of high intelligence and creativity is being able to craft your narrative so that a person experiencing it has no reason to question it. Take a writing class. The only one embarrasing themself is you because you don't know how writing works. If you look up any information on how to craft a believable world it will agree with what I have said and it will point out that failure to do so is why so many wannabe writers fail.

First and foremost it is science fiction not science fact... What about H.G. Wells a man to the moon being shot out of a cannon, or Edgar Rice Burrows. Do you even know who he is? I cannot see how you spent any time with the classics. You talk of Writing class I am truly sorry that Higher Education did not allow for creativity nor for spelling even with a spell checker available to you, you still misspelled embarrassed. I did warn you not to embarrass yourself and you didn't listen

After death stranding everything and anything is on the table.
5th element and that guide to the galaxy, going through jupiter ascending,
those show fkked up planet making complete with whatever gravity or phisics blunders.

Not to mention MC lives in a vast dessert and is not privy to actual up to date
sattelite overview or any world map to actually have any idea where he is going or how long it takes him. Pitty that going from army baes to army base was just to raid and
get guns, when he could have looked for actual tools for information: maps and control
consoles to access whatever is left of the army databases/resources scattered around.

Logic gets thrown out on many of the games I've played on here. Continuity in writing a story is the important thing. If a story writer writes something that contradicts something they previously stated then I have a problem with the writing not because it's fictional.

Maybe not so fiction:

'The world is running out of water,' says water expert from Six Nations, Ont.

science fiction has long been a precurser to science fact because none of greatest authors rewrote known science they took advantage of obscure principals to bend the worlds they created to suit their needs and many times, because they studied and used the actual science, they landed on start of a whole new field of study, but you obviously just read a bunch of "science words" and that was good enough for you. Yes, I speak of a writing class because they defined the rules laid out in the classics. All the rules of world building came from observing how well authors wove their narratives to to subvert your expectations, not beat you over the head with ham handed explanations like "the government lied about everything"

if you read the article they are talking about fresh/potable water not the actual overall quantity of water in the world. Water moves around the world through natural and man based means and transitions from fresh to salt and visa versa all the time but the only way there will ever be less water on the earth is if we start jettisoning it off the planet.

I can see now that you are the kind of person that will blow up the thread to brow beat your way to supremacy at any cost. I'm sorry that you need to critique this story just to educate us the great unwashed to your superior wisdom. I pity you for your narrow vision when it comes to Science Fiction and Fantasy as a rule. As long as the story is consistent with established lore in the narrative who are you or I to say for that matter that it is wrong. There is enough thought Police in the world I don't have time to argue with another literary giant as yourself.

Peace.

I came here to make a suggestion to the creator not argue literary theory with you. You were the one that took it upon yourself to call me out now that your unfounded arguments can't hold up you piece out while pretending to be the bigger person.

and how many of those games actually get completed?
Is this a legitimate question or is there no answers that would satisfy? Am I to understand you wish for examples of completed fictional games?

I myself can think of a some. I have one in mind. Consider many games have aliens and cross breeding between aliens and humans are sometimes impossible and with some of the aliens within this world of fiction the human can cross breed. What this requires is the writer to make rules within the game that says alien X can mate with human, but their is incompatibility with Alien Y. Talothral has games such as Sorcerer and Terminus Reach which includes completed well written games with a lot of fiction and certain rules within the game that has not basis in reality.

I'm not going to drag out this conversation for fear the moderators might crack down. I'm not going to further this conversation.
