was there a update between july and the update yesterday? i downloaded the update files but the game is still telling me i reached the end of the content.
The update yesterday is the late July update. There may or may not be an August update at the end of the month.was there a update between july and the update yesterday? i downloaded the update files but the game is still telling me i reached the end of the content.
oh i see, makes sense, thank youThe update yesterday is the late July update. There may or may not be an August update at the end of the month.
That's actually incorrect. When people report they can't get past the first zone, that's an issue with how they unpacked the game, yes. That's about the only time infinite loading happens. That's not related to the people using save files others have uploaded. The split game files are how the developer uploads the game, and 99% of the time the "bugs" are the direct result of people not combining the files correctly.
Yes, it'd be nice if it was in just one file or as linked archives, but unless the developer changes their way of doing things (which has been suggested to them), nothing is going to change.
I've done clean installs of the game relatively frequently (every 2-3 updates ussually), correctly installed the game, played from the start, and have never had an infinite loading issue (other than times I myself screwed up the install). So, to me that implies that there's actually an issue with your ability to install the game. Now, maybe it is something else, like which program you used to unpack the files, what exact operating system you use (including updates), trying to use any mods / uploaded saves. That's actually incorrect. However, the author CONTINUES to upload game version with BROKEN formatting in dialogue files (or maybe he continues to not pack game correctly and leaves some files out, don't know, don't care) which prevents people from progressing DESPITE unpacking the game correctly.
For example I decided to play the game again after at least half a year and on a clean install the game STILL locks up on the same exact dialogue it did when I stopped playing last time. And the last time I played I had to hunt for the exact line in the exact dialogue file on which the game locked up for me like 5 separate times (or look through this thread to check if someone already found it). It gets pretty boring, pretty quickly.
wait, where are the spiders? i thought they weren't accessible yetYeah no spider or moth for me after the ants its just Thanks for playing. Did download and added all the streaming assets into the streaming assets folder.
The only thing your post shows is that you didn't read my comment before responding.I've done clean installs of the game relatively frequently (every 2-3 updates ussually), correctly installed the game, played from the start, and have never had an infinite loading issue (other than times I myself screwed up the install). Also, the game will have infinite loading in ANY scene that is located at a break in the files if you installed that section incorrectly. For example, if you install part 1 and 2 correctly, but 3 incorrectly the lock up will be at part 3, not just the early areas / scenes.
Your save does indeed work. I'm curious as to the conditions of unlocking that stage? The save he posted has them, but the stage won't show up if you do the story normally

Try reading the first post...so do i have to download all the versions of the game to play or whats up with that?
Installing the game correctly is the most common fix for infinite loading.
This is an older installation guide, but it works. The only change is to repeat the step for all the parts of the game.
Full in Depth New Installation Guide (for Windows)
Step 1: Download both Part1 and Part2 of the game.
Step 2: Use 7zip (or your preferred extractor, but I recommend 7zip) to extract both part 1 and part 2 to your computer, but NOT into the default "programs" or "windows" folders.

Step 3: Go into the part 2 folder. Then copy the files in that folder.

Step 4: Go into the Part 1 files and paste the copied files into it.

Step 5:A window will pop up asking you if yo want to combine the folders, click yes.

You are done. That is how to correctly install the game.
