in this game it's kinda weird in the sense that you have to go around talking to people and then go back to talk to the same people all over again and that triggers dialogue changes and quests
You pick the first option at Goto offices, "sortie". It's not far along the main quest-line. See my post on the last page for a save immediately before the fight

honestly i get very overwhelmed by dogfactory's games once they get huge like this. content is a good thing, but i always end up forgetting how to find certain enemies and trigger whatever specific events. i probably miss a ton of content because of this, but my tiny, limited brain can't keep up with this man's limitless fount of bizarre erotic fantasies and encyclopedic retention of event triggers and routing
