i haven't had the free time to play through the game for real, and just used a fullsave. so i don't know how to do the story normally OR abnormally

The new enemy is behind the moths and larvae. But beware, this enemy is some special. I war rather surprised.
But the positions so far are very good. Love it very much. However, it is a dumb thing that you could only retrospectively
enter the level via the first boss. However, it would be easier IF there would be a possibility to enter the cave somehow.
Just sayin'.

... so how do you REACH the new enemy? i don't know what "retrospectively enter the level via the first boss" means. i don't even know what the first boss is. or that there were bosses

Installing the game correctly is the most common fix for infinite loading.

This is an older installation guide, but it works. The only change is to repeat the step for all the parts of the game.

If you properly unpacked all 5 parts then you should experience no infinite loading.
At best you'd get dialogues locking up, but that can be fixed by running the game through

(I tried setting the Windows to Japanese and using Locale Emulator, but only Remulator worked).

If you unpack the archives as is, you'll get 5 folders named:
- HotMFull1_20250810 (contains all game executables and other similar files, plus content up to the second combat zone on the world map)
- HotMFull2_20250810 (this and every consecutive folder contains further combat zone and dialogue content)
- HotMFull3_20250810
- HotMFull4_20250810
- HotMFull5_20250810
To get the game working properly, you need to put the CONTENTS of each of those folders into a single folder. Specifically, you copy "Hounds of the Meteor_Data" folder from HotMFull2 through 5 (all of them) into HotMFull1.

in english, in japanese, the dialog dont go further, i have access to the inventory ( option etc), but cant go further, any idea?

. The dev is using Japanese unicode formatting for decimals or something even in the English language files and that causes hang-ups in dialogues.

I did EXACTLY that . . . already 5 times over! (in separate ones)

All of them the same bug!

i spent like 20 min yesterday trying to figure out what he meant and guessing and never found the spiders lol. it's possible i'm just dumb, but one thing i'm certain of is that it would have been faster to just play through the game at this point than to piece together crap with no context over and over

Your post sounded much like a troll post and there were quite some of them.
But here is a short help on how to find him:

- Start the game from the beginning.
- Get to the first boss Woova
- Once he transformed, let him impregnate you
- Defeat him and go to your room
- Rest until you gave birth to a mini monster
- Go to Hermen and talk about Woova
- Go after that to the bar and talk to Master about Woova
- This should unlock a new section called Sewer Ruins, where the larvae and moths are
- Go through the entire first stage and enter the second stage
- Spider boss (Woova?) awaits you

Just repeat the steps for all parts, because I wrote this back when there were only 2 parts of the game.

Full in Depth New Installation Guide (for Windows)

Step 1: Download both Part1 and Part2 of the game.

Step 2: Use 7zip (or your preferred extractor, but I recommend 7zip) to extract both part 1 and part 2 to your computer, but NOT into the default "programs" or "windows" folders.

Step 3: Go into the part 2 folder. Then copy the files in that folder.

Step 4: Go into the Part 1 files and paste the copied files into it.

Step 5:A window will pop up asking you if yo want to combine the folders, click yes.

You are done. That is how to correctly install the game.

well the most confusing part is the fact you can GO to Sewer Ruins and encounter larvae, and moths, but then can't advance to the second stage. i tried AFKing while the moths went to pound town, killing stuff, leaving and reentering, everything i could think of lol. thank you for clarifying though

Depends. If you've just installed the game from the current 5 parts no you don't. If you have the exact previous version and want to play the update, then yes. The update only files are just so that if you have the exact previous version you don't need to redownload the entire game.
