Hi, folks. This message is from Madbadbutajoytoknow and Xyzzy of Horny Hydra.
It's been a rather eventful, and at the same time uneventful, time around here at Horny Hydra Games. Let's see if we can explain what we mean.
After we released the first installment of 'The Case Files of Doctor Morecock Bones', we had promised to work on the next update to House of Seduction. Little did we know that our artist/coder had other ideas. We waited a while for him to work on the update, then began to wonder at his lack of communication. We tried several times to contact him, only to discover that he had simply disappeared on us without a word of explanation. Oh well, right? We certainly hope his disappearance has nothing to do with the global Coronavirus pandemic, and we hope he and his family are physically happy and healthy.
Anyway, as soon as we figured out he was gone, we suspended Patreon payments, and put the game on hold, while we decided what to do. We don't mind telling you, we came close to throwing in the towel, because this was the third artist/coder we've lost.
But we didn't give up, we decided we would once again look for another artist and programmer to continue House of Seduction. We finally found one, and so far we are extremely impressed with the work he is doing. We think you will be very pleased with the result, as well. Here's a sneak peek:
We have decided to put together and release a new update as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the artwork (characters and layout) looks so completely different from what has come before, that it would simply be too jarring to release new material without updating and recreating what has already been done. Our new artist is working with different assets, and none of us were completely happy with the art that has already been produced. So the plan is to go back and re-render the previous images, as well as moving forward with the story as soon as possible. We will keep Patreon pledges suspended until our new update is ready for release.
Once again we would like to thank all of you, our dear fans, for your continued support. You have no idea how much we appreciate your forbearance as we overcome this latest setback.
