With every update and the installation of the incest patch I have to restart the whole game. Well, without the incest patch I have to restart it, too, because every time the game does not find my saves from earlier versions. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong?
you don't need to install patch in every update.
patch should work on every update.

So, let me see if I understand.. In order to use the patch I may have to delete everything in the save folder? Because I've heard two recurring theories regarding this. One says simply place the file in the hos folder, the other says delete everything in the save folder and place it there. At any rate, regardless, I can't seem to load any saves as the popup menu is empty. I already know the path to the save folder, but how do I point Unity to it? Ugh! This is why I prefer RenPy!..
Either overwrite the existing save file or delete(both are same thing) it and then restart.

I dont see what's all the fuzz is about..Just make a Backup of the Existing one and use the newer one.If your so worried about your current saves.

Almost glad its not just me.
Having re tried it many times, it seems as though the next scene/page gets to 89% loaded and then just stops and leaves the grey screen.
Is there another scene/page after the mother masturbating one ?

The saves from version v0.2 can be found at ...\AppData\LocalLow\madZeal\hos\Saves as .save files (1-6.save, for example for my last save of v0.2. But the saves from v0.2.2 all seem to end in one file named saved_games.gd. Is there a way to change that and make v0.2.2 find the .sav files from v0.2?
Edit: Maybe there is a connection to that even the content of the incest patch has changed. The one from the end of February contained 3 .save files and one img folder. But the actual one contains only one file saved_games.gd. So obviously the saving mechanism as well as the patch have changed.
And even after having placed the .gd file fom the incest patch in ...\hos Elaine is still Elaine and not Mom (starting the new game is necessary then). If that worked, I would not have asked for help. My own save files aren't found (the grey box that lists the available saves) is empty and loading the incest patch save file means my own game is lost.

actually i like it much more now, the game seems more stable as well
