your link is giving a downloadable version of an unplayable game. the start game button is greyed out and it denies the option of playing it, while failing to download content

Works for me, both update check and start button. Sounds like it might be a firewall issue on your end, or something?
I'm playing 0.6.1 version and I am problems with loading. If I save a game and then i do something, if i load the game, the things done after save are also done. It's normal?

In the torrent option, remove Linux, Mac, or Windows version based on what you need. Obviously if you're playing on Windows 32 bit, you won't need Linux, OSX, or Windows 64 bit.
Edit: I forgot to ask, does anyone know if the modding tools will be the same? I have a few stories that I made for fun, but re-creating them is gonna be a pain. I know other versions don't like working in conjunction, though.

Yea, shouldn't have to sign up for anything. And even when you try to, you don't even receive the confirmation link from them.

Remember to put it in "House Party\Mods\Stories" if you somehow happen to have the older version map named "HouseParty".

Something like this:Do you create a new folder for the mods? Cuz I don't see a mods folder anywhere
C:\Users\****\Documents\Eek\House Party\Mods\Stories\HypnoHouse
The game itself creates this folder upon launching, but you could possibly create it manually as well
