Not 100% sure about the anglo-saxon grammar but in my native lingo it's the plural form both as noun and pronoun.

Might even complicate things that we have 5 genus forms ( femininum, masculinum, neutrum, reale and a new non-gender form )

In my local vocabulary it's used for humans only: It's a female=It's a woman/girl.
Might be me being old and hanging on to my dialect.

It's better, gramatically, to just say "became female". As for added connotations to the use of a "a female" this is subjective and in your eyes.

That said the game looks interesting the renders are just good enough, things are going a little fast though, a little more exposure wouldn't hurt. The build is also very short, maybe less than 5mn. I hope this wasn't too hard for the dev to put together or that would mean the progress will be very slow and the project has high chances of being dropped. Still rooting for you dev .
