The writeup for it (and everything it says/hints at) make it sound like you play as a girl named Miyu, rather than... whoever you play as? Which it sounds like is some random guy.

Alright, I'll repost this here for anyone that skips it or needs a refresher. Stats are:
VIT- Hp
DEX- Damage with Bows and Arrows
ACC- Damage with Guns and Bullets
STR- Damage with Swords and Lances
DEF- Damage reduction
EYE- Accuracy and aggro ranges for AI allies
SPD- Movement speed and dodge rate
LCK- Item drop rate
WRK- Income outside of combat

That is the writeup on steam and the kagura games website so problem lies with the source i guess.

For me it's mostly nostalgia and loyalty to Irisfield. I bought this off of DLsite when it came out and it didn't work for me. Irisfield sent me a special version that I could play. Had no story text but I liked the game. It's a step back from https://f95zone.to/threads/how-to-build-a-magnificent-kingdom-v1-03-0-irisfield.128631/ but since it came out first it made sense.

No, its the bloody english localization that released this year.
And published date refers to the date this version was released at.
