It only pulls up a browser to play it, and the code will only pull from your computer, so you can play this without an internet connection.

If you don't plan on downloading it and then going into airplane mode, I can't do much to help, since I don't use Apple products.

I am playing 0.3.8.1c and am unable to attack Brian in the Back Streets, the side menu doesn't give me an option to do that (only options are talk, fuck and enchant, none of which do anything). There is also no link to click on in the center portion of the screen. Is he bugged?
