I think the whole concept is problematic to begin with. These artists are making a living, some of whom accruing a vast amount of wealth, by essentially reselling copyrighted material and intellectual property. There is no doubt that they are highly talented individuals, however the issue is just as you said, getting a stick up their asses from websites sharing their work. To the best of my knowledge, some people here are also very supportive of these artists' efforts. Isn't that the correct way to go about this then? If we like what the artist provides, we support them, not by buying their individual works (of copyrighted material), but by supporting the artist themselves. Paywalling is an absurd concept in these situations, game mods being another pet peeve of mine. It's a shame my income is strictly limited to the expenses of my daily life and its responsibilities, otherwise I would gladly support these individuals.Nothing more ironic than artists creating smut with copyrighted characters and then reporting others for copyright infrigement.![]()
