Nothing more ironic than artists creating smut with copyrighted characters and then reporting others for copyright infrigement. :KEK:
I think the whole concept is problematic to begin with. These artists are making a living, some of whom accruing a vast amount of wealth, by essentially reselling copyrighted material and intellectual property. There is no doubt that they are highly talented individuals, however the issue is just as you said, getting a stick up their asses from websites sharing their work. To the best of my knowledge, some people here are also very supportive of these artists' efforts. Isn't that the correct way to go about this then? If we like what the artist provides, we support them, not by buying their individual works (of copyrighted material), but by supporting the artist themselves. Paywalling is an absurd concept in these situations, game mods being another pet peeve of mine. It's a shame my income is strictly limited to the expenses of my daily life and its responsibilities, otherwise I would gladly support these individuals.

Just felt like airing my grievances on this topic, hope it's fine.

So you all an try some handjobs or fj.
Ah yes, the clothed BJ/FJ/HJ.
The most desperate attempt to make any smut with a character.
I work in the game industry, from my pov, the most challenging part of ripping a model is usually the head and hair. Once that's done, the rest of the body tends to be much easier. Technically, they can take the body from another model with a similar shape, adjust the shaders/materials to match the head's skin tone, and then "stitch" it together, cleaning up seam lines and adding fine details if needed and then voila! the full model is complete.

I was told the most challenging part was rigging. Either just enough for the job or everything for future use.

surprised he cares at all, with 3500~ paid members thats a good chunk of change per month, its only grown in the last 12 months but whatever i don't want to steer the convo in that direction for the nth time.
Too late. He is making most of your salaries in 1 month. Lobster is an average meal for him. He can buy a new car every year and throw $10,000 in a fire if it makes him smile

I guess layoffs in gamedev are not that scary if you're a skilled artist/animator. There's always money on the table in the rule34 part of the internet.

Not really. It's hard to break into the market with so many people already in it. You have to offer something unique; Artists like Aanix specialize in multiple penetration, those like Rash and D3D do long, realistic scenes. Hydra does cinematics; stuff that's theatrical like putting film grain and using layered audio and not following trends.

I've seen so many new artists burn out over how long it takes to build their fanbases. I've followed thousands of accounts on Twitter and seen so many struggle to rise to 5K or higher.

Just wanted to chime in and say that the Cloud/Tifa/Aerith videos of Hydra are absolute gold, and the looks that Cloud and Tifa give each other while he's fucking Aerith is the epitome of chef's kiss.

You prove my point. I did write 'skilled', didn't I? You're right about creators of average stuff. For them it's hard. But if your work screams quality, you're going to blow up fast. Remember anielSzal? Guy comes out of nowhere, posts 2 or 3 VR animations and disappears. He's been inactive for 3 years, yet his twitter still has 24k followers, and his patreon still earns quite a bit of money (in 2022 he was getting $1,5-2k/month). Another one is ellowas - guy comes out of nowhere with a banger D.Va animation and kotaku writes about it (that was way before they went to shit). There are probably over a million pieces of Overwatch porn out there, but very few have reached this level of quality.

Everything you said is true now more than ever. I'm finding amazing new artists all the time. It's like a golden age of 3D animated porn. Which is great, but there's only so much attention to go around.
