Go for what you would feel comfortable with. It's nice to ask for advice with the guys in here, but the decision ultimately lies with you, the creator. Personally, for me, I like female protagonists in a corruption game.

Let's step back and think about what the appeal is for this type of porn. It's the religious sacrilege (taboo) and defiling something "pure" (corruption). It's essentially identical to nun porn in this regard. I mean sure, some people just like the costume, but even for those people, the implications and themes should play some part.

So a hijab porn game should honestly go with corruption of some type. 1) Male protagonist (non-arab MC is more taboo) corrupts hijab women. 2) Standard female protagonist corruption game. 3) NTR corruption of hijab wife of male MC.

I can think of a 4th option that doesn't necessarily need corruption and could still be fresh and interesting. An actual literal harem game set in the middle east lol.

I'm not saying there isn't an audience for vanilla hijab romance or something... but eh... unless you are trying to be politically correct and advocate for some social issue, might as well lean into the taboo aspect.

If you made an incest game where it was a male MC with the extra taboo on top of a Muslim faith family to make it even more taboo that would be super great. Of course thinking of an unique plot would be hard since incest is so overdone but I am sure you could make one since you are doing it from a female perspective with your team like you said could make something different from the norm. Not really into Female MC though just cant enjoy playing as the person trying to make decisions to get people to fuck me too weird for me. Good Luck with your project.

Story Overview: Grace is a beautiful Asian and Muslim, a faithful wife and mother of a son. She came from a high-class, conservative, traditional and religious family. Grace and Fahad have been married for decades. Until one day, three Talaqs (A form of divorce) had been given to Grace by her husband. Now, they want to get back to each other for some reason. But things do not work that way. She has to go through Nikah Halala (Read the short definition below) to remarry Fahad. On her way to get back to her ex-husband who carelessly gave her the three talaqs, she may or may not be corrupted by men or even women. That depends on you, the player. Will they get married again, happily for the sake of their son and reputation at least? Or will she become a more open, and free slut?

Tell me your thoughts on my project. I would be very happy to know if my project is a cup of tea for you.

And should the game be a female protagonist(I preferred.) or a male protagonist?

in regard of female main characters...this comunity are in mayority a male one, due to obvious reasons, so if you guys want to succed i recomend a compromise and include a male character who can score with all the female ones, the perspective can be through the Grace character. I personaly like the multiple characters format and a glimse to the muslim world view is a very good idea at least in my opinion. Can you guys include anal sex to add a shock and chatarsis effect to our sunni friends (and some shia as well)? but not dive in male homosexual tag, it could be to much.. or at least make it with some warning and /or electable content

In general i like the idea. I would love to have a path to prostitution on any level.
Especially if you consider the conservative society when women are easily outlasted and damned to roles.
About loosing the stand in society and forbitten to engage in normal jobs, because of religious context.
Plus, i like to have a female protagonist. I think there are not a lot. It should have groping, harassments and masturbation (men masturbating on her).
The models look fantastic.
I am always intrigued by different path a MC can take. So i think if the game has 3 or 4 different path it would enrich the game.
So path like regain her good stand in society, downfall (prostitution), corruption path, coercion path, incest.
Though i think coercion should be believable. Enemies should have something really forceful in their possession to make her do things she would otherwise not do.

In any case, i really welcoming the idea of the game regardless of my input. There are not a lot of games that run with a theme like that.

I find stories told out of a female perspective more engaging and interesting than being told from a male. Perhaps, since so many ask for male perspective, it should have both but being chosen in the beginning. Maybe thats too much actually.
Male usually run around how many fucks he can have. There are so many in that regard.

If you are looking for big commercial success then obviously just follow the formula and risk being unhappy and burning out mid-development. If you pull it off the money is yours but it wouldn't be my route. Alternatively stick to your vision and what makes you happy. Potentially less money but you end up with something you are genuinely proud of and makes you happy.

Personally I don't mind female MC, or NTR or most of the stuff people complain about. I wish there was a good way of knowing what the people who actually hand over the money prefer. There is no point delivering what the non-payment people prefer opposed to the rest, but I have no clue how to separate that info accurately, and I would still stick to my vision.

My vote goes for female MC with a route that starts pure and then spirals down in corruption, but that's just my taste.

I actually just saw that this dev made Free Pass and Kathoey. I have played a bit of Free Pass, so I can say with 100% certainty that this dev will deliver on the visual side. Plus, the dev isn't lazy with cultural accuracy. The look, how they behave, their typical backstories, it really does justice to the specific culture being depicted. Especially the look of the models. Anyone who has been to Southeast Asia can tell instantly how accurate the models are in those 2 games I mentioned.

Reading the overview, I can see that the general outline of the story will be similar to Free Pass. An initially faithful wife that will see opportunities to get corrupted or mess around, so that seems promising for corruption fans.

Personally, my only misgivings with female protagonist in the corruption genre (especially in western games) is that they generally have too much agency in being corrupted. For example, she meets some potential corruptor, and then the player makes choices that send her into that direction (of course). That is fine, but it is usually written in a way that places the corruption in the hands of the female MC, which lessens the impact. For example, she might know immediately that the Chad neighbor is trying to fuck her, and the choices will be "Go meet him at his house" vs "Refuse." Personally, I would like it more if the choices inform the player of the potential route, but it's written in a way where the female protagonist isn't consciously going there to get corrupted (at least for the beginning of the story). For example, the neighbor might appear to be a nice man to her, so she is going there without the intention of doing anything bad. Then he slowly shows his colors and corrupts her against her will, at least until she gets corrupted by the sexual pleasure and immorality.

That said, I know this is stemming from the misogynistic fetishes that I prefer and others like precisely the opposite with more agency for the female. I think Free Pass was written to give a lot of agency to the female MC. I'm not sure where I picked this up from, but I believe the dev is female, so it makes sense that the story goes with this angle. That is absolutely fine. Do what feels best for you. All the suggestions here are going to be based on whatever the poster personally prefers. It's nice to take it into consideration, but it should only be applied if it's something the dev actually likes and is confident with.

edit: Oh one last thing. Since it seems like a dual protagonist with an NTR tag, I just want to suggest that you should try not to lose the real NTR route for the male MC. In many cases, it just quickly turns into netorase, where the player makes choices for the male MC to make him a willing cuck that knows the wife is sleeping around but enjoys it or can't do anything about it cus he's a beta cuck. That can certainly be one route, but real cheating/NTR type of route would be good too. Where he doesn't know that she is getting corrupted until way too late.

On the other hand, if you want to present a more complex story where the male MC shares equal (or greater) screen time, you could take a look at Rise of the Crime Lord. That games really does dual protagonist justice and the coding is great to enable many different combinations.

I think you should write the story as you'd like it to be. Since, you prefer a female protagonist, I'd guess you have more to give to her character and are more than glad to create her story. My point is, it's better to write something and enjoy writing it, as the result will come out more refined.

Of course, if you and your team decides to go with the other one, I'll definitely give it a go, since I like your previous games.

Not really my kind of game but i am bored so lets give it a try:

My suggestions is simple:
The mc is a woman who's relationship is one sided.
Her husband rules the relationship with an iron fist.
He decides everything for her.
Where they go, what they eat, how much she must weigh, etc.
At the start of the game she blames herself.
She isnt a good enough wife, He knows best, She shoud be happy, etc.

One day as she is picking up her son from soccor practice (or whatever muslim men play for sport) and got into conversation with the coach and falls in love.
Torn between her duty as wife and her feelings the player decide how the story goes from here.
Will she get a devorce?
Will she cheat on her husband.

As she spends more and more time with the coach she discovers things about the coach that arent exactly moral.
She learns that the coach seduces woman to be whores.
And (depending on the players choices up to this point)
Blackmails, seduces or forces her into whoring.

Over the course of the game she becomes more and more addicted to sex.
To the point she start sleeping with her sons friends and eventual her son.

The paths i have in mind are:
Unhappy marriage: She stays the dutyfull wife but never really feels love.
Confidence: She learns to stand up for herself and finds a way to make her marriage work as her husband now has to put effort into keeping her happy.
Whore: She is a broken woman who makes money for a man she thought loved her.
Slut: She is addicted to sex and fucks everything and everyone.

A short of corruption from the female point of view.
Where in other games you are the corrupter here you are the corrupted.
And you need to decide how she reacts to people trying to corrupt her.
