One wrong doing doesnt justify another one, you can be a thief and steal to fucking survive and look wrong to the people that steal for profit. You can have a code of sorts, yeah i pirate stuff, almost everything i consume. In my situation i cant pay for netflix/music services/videogames and even less, porn. We dont take the games from here and then change it a bit to make it look like a original thing to profit from it.

The big problem here isn't that the assets are stolen - if someone actually used Kazoku ~Haha to Shimai no Kyousei~'s art to make a great new incest game I would be down with that.
It's that Impreganator games churns out badly written, almost no content, never finished 0.1 rewrites of various Japanese games solely for Patreon whoring - the strategy being to trick people into thinking that since it has great art it's probably worth playing. Then you just make another 0.1 from another game, rinse and repeat. There have been several others that have been uploaded previously here.
You've got a great looking sandwich on the outside, but once you bite into it, it's just a good looking shit sandwich. And then it begs you to subscribe to its Patreon for more unfinished shit sandwiches.

I mean your argument is that the guy who steals stuff and keeps them to themselves is somehow less of a thief than the ones that sells the stolen stuff.
You are still a thief regardless of why you did it, sure you can decide how you wanna punish that but at the end of the day the person you steal from isnt at fault and what you did was wrong.
You can feel uncomfortable but dont act like you are somehow of a higher moral authority.

I wouldn't be surprised if dev released a "demo" version of .10 for f95 to release. Out of curiosity, last month I paid to see a couple of devs others games and noticed he did exactly that with those. Those f95 versions were almost identical in size and names but were just a partitioned shell of his pay version....

If people decide to think that stealing and trying to make profit while never saying that the content of their creation originates from stolen assets as if they want to take the credits away is worse than stealing they so it be.

I saw the tags and got excited. Then I saw the comments and became disappointed (at the dev).
Edit: To be clear, I don't care about asset stealing. If that is what brings in the money, that's how we get these games. What I do care about is the talk how games from this dev barely make it past v0.1, which screws over the people who pay.

Yes and if i like the game i usually buy them afterwards and so do many others lol we aren't all like you
Maybe if we could be certain that these games and really just games in general end up finished with all the promised features we wouldn't be hesitant to pay upfront. Way too often these developers just run off with the money or start taking literal months for tiny updates because they start multiple projects before finishing what they already got.

Perhaps but like i said, if we could trust the developers it wouldn't be an issue for alot of us. We literally just had millions of people get burned by this from Cyberpunk 2077 and we still haven't gotten what we paid for 6 months later. And they even have their names on their product. All these games are just anonymous dudes online that can fuck off with your money whenever they want to with little to no accountability.
It seems like this particular developer has been active for barely 2 months and he's already working on 3 different games, all of them with stolen assets. And you're telling me i should give my money to this guy? hahaha
