For those curious about the art style and process:
Everything is built in Daz Studio, including the backgrounds. I use a mix of custom figures (many sculpted with FaceGen) alongside some characters you may recognize. Every frame is fully rendered in 3D, then heavily post processed in Photoshop, with redrawing, filters, and adjustments done by hand. The goal was to create something that stands apart from typical Daz VN visuals while keeping strong character consistency. Silver Lake exists in 3D form, albeit more like a television filming set for each scene.

As for content and player choice:
This version of the game covers the same core story as the original, with expanded scenes and new content added. I’ve designed it so that most sexual or relationship paths are entirely optional, if you don’t want to engage in a specific act or pursue a certain character, you won’t have to.

You can skip scenes, characters, and locations depending on your choices. While a few key moments, like an encounter with Lorie on Day 4, are currently more “on the rails,” I plan to expand those into branchable interactions as the game grows so you could ignore her if you wanted. My goal is to give players meaningful control over their relationships while still telling a focused, character driven story.

You’ll be able to complete the game completely abstinent if you choose, or you can sleep with everyone, which will affect your ending. The game tracks who you’re involved with and how you interact with them, and these choices shape outcomes. There’s also some more outlandish and unconventional content I have in mind for the future. Group scenes etc but that’s all peripheral while the core plot remains about your character’s journey and the people they choose to bring along.

I'm glad to see this back, even if only as a VN. I considered it a top5 within the early-in-development games of this site.

Absolutely, and Blackmoor's facepalm emoji doesn't change that.

There is hallucination shit all over those backgrounds. First row, 4th from the left, that magazine is hot nonsense. That same girl is also in the 3rd image from the left on the second row, and everything about that 'building' and 'parking lot' is a clusterfuck if you pay attention to it for more than a literal second. 5th image on the 2nd row, the mega super villain office? Check out the weird bendy couches, various hard edges that morph and wobble, and a very not symmetrical afghan rug (plus whatever-the-fuck the thing is that is sitting on top of the right edge of the rug between the two chairs). Final image of the top row, is that indoors or outside? Between the detritus covered floor, weird staircases(?), and the 4-armed light post(??), I don't have a fucking clue. I think there are supposed to be curtains or some sort of semi-transparent thing hanging from the left, but its details are indistinct and it fades into the rest of the background noise at the edges. Yeah, very obviously a lot of Gen-AI is being used here.

Yes thank you obviously the characters are DAZ, it's that postwork that I was curious about because, as noted above by EvolutionKills, the distortion in the backgrounds often looks a lot like AI hallucinations, particularly the boyband poster in img1 and the bedside picture frame in img3. The dev also provided a helpful response without being needlessly rude or dismissive in response to harmless curiosity.

There's no switch you turn on and off like the old game, but it looks like you choose your relationship to Clarissa. Will be interesting to see how much sense it makes since the adopted family thing is no longer explained?

Just FYI, the ai-cg tag is only if the characters are generated with AI. It wouldn't get the tag if the environments were ai. Moot though, since everything in this was very clearly made with daz.

It seems this may be an issue with the Jodie scene sharing some code with the Savannah scene. I'll fix this right away.
