Look, the only cheating that happens so far is one of the girls boyfriend is seeing another girl.

Lorie's boyfriend cheated on her with Jody, so the tag is accurate for that reason alone.
Also one of the optional relationships coded into the game for Corey and Clarissa is Boyfriend/Girlfriend, so technically if some people prefer interpreting their relationship that way (even though I don't think it fits their relationship very well at all), then Corey would be cheating on Clarissa when he's fucking other girls behind her back. That may or may not contribute to the tag too.

So is this just made the exact same way as it was before and then you slap it through an AI filter at the end? Honestly the pixels were more charming

If you're comparing it to the Unity version, it's very obviously not made the same way. This was a nearly ground up rebuild on Renpy. And no, there is no AI filter.
