I tried this. Added a card from a subfolder to a group (it let me).Not sure how you´ve meant this.
You can only start a H-scene with girls assigned to a group.
If you Edit Group you only can choose cards located in UserData/chara/female or in a subfolder of female.
I tried now but can´t pic a card outside of female folder
As I understood JohnDyr he has installed the whole game in C:/downloads.
Card did not gain any xp during H and a new duplicate card was created and saved in overall "female" folder

I often get the extra card being added to female folder, but normally my character adds experience.
Did you just try once or a few different things?
Also have you checked the new card in female folder? When that happens for me it is that one that has the experience added. I then switch that one into the group instead of the previous one.

You could also try running [BR] HoneySelect 2 Registry Fixer located in your hs2 directory, hopefully it should clear it up

I have to try it.
I`ve organized my female folder with subfolders just new and didn´t play with my new system yet.
UPDATE: confirming Boobas statement - no advantage in the card from subfolder, but a new copy in female folder with the same card name and increased stats.

How do these type of cards work? They go in the female folder, interactions the same? They can't be a second "dude" they are showing up with females characters etc?
