It's probably never going to happen, but instead of creating a game themselves, I think an Illusion title that allowed people to author fairly simple 3D interactable scenes would be a big hit. This is one of the primary uses for the StudioNEO software anyway, and it would just cut out the middle man of then putting that into Renpy / RPGM / whatever.

They tried it with Emotion Creators and it was a major flop, next to Secrosphere which was pure s....
It will be cool if HS2 have some gameplay elements like simple romance or cheating etc, not just simple animation and pose loader where girl personality is nothing more than few dialogues and interaction is non existing. Also i wonder if they increase limit of girls on AI if they add new personalities and what impact this will have on gameplay ( example slave personality etc )

Yeah! Like Skyrim Mod support made the game survive for over a decade.

Exactly why they won't make any effort to allow modding. Same happened for many games like Battlefield for example. They don't want a game to survive for too long.

Yeah I hope they will have real personnalities and all the events will have an impact. If it's like HS 1 you can have various state like slave/hate/broken/love/horny (with different positions available if I'm rght?), in AI you can only gain XP no matter what you do... As for AI they won't touch anything else.

I think it's mostly those people who is not familiar with illusion policy. There is no point in adding game-play elements in every game. They release something new every 2 years. Each title have strong and weak side. Making a small group working on "addon" game while other working on a bigger project. Investing time (couple of years) for one game straight is not enough profitable for them.

Personally, I'm really happy they continue making sandbox type of games after premium resort fail.

There's already some lesbian position and futa, it uses AI engine and assets and you can do it already in AI. As for English it won't happen until it goes on Steam.

I'm neither impressed with HS2, except for better-rendered scenes, despite I really like HS/ AIS.

I just would expect the game to have something to play with character's growth like HS or unexpected reactions from the girls, and better censored/ no telescoped dick (or just have an option to remove it overall [quite illegal in Japan so it might be not possible]). But look at their trailer, it just looks horrendous.
And having better UI implementation or English translation (since they start releasing their games on STEAM) could help improve the sales.

But anyway, looking forward to May to expand my col... ahem.. culture appreciation study...

Illusion rarely ever goes above and beyond for whatever reason.

They remind of Koei Tecmo with the Dynasty Warriors series.

There is alot they could do with it, but they stick to the same formula because it sells enough (Except in their case DW9)

The lack of FFM or even FFFM is very also concerning. MMF isn't my thing but whatever, just don't abandon FFM though. My dude needs those double tittyjobs.

It can actually be less demanding than AI depending on how open the world is, since it's not a huge island. Rendering only a few rooms at a time is less demanding but it depends if they screw optimization again (doesn't AI render all the island at all time or have some kind of light calculation problem?).

Way too niche, it won't happen until quite some time. We already had to wait a long time for some anal positions and anal is not niche anymore since quite some time (there was sometimes one anal position in a few games until what, Artificial Academy 2 in 2014?). And we have official futa since 2020 and only since it's easy to do...

No worries, the performance of HS2 will very likely be better than AIS' because there won't be a need to load vast environments and have 4 AI scripts running in the background at all times.

Something isn't quite right with character models on this engine. Welp. I'm just glad AI Shoujo is behind us. It almost melted my computer.
