Does anybody know how to fix this? I can't change my face shader back to AIT Skin True Face without it looking like this?
Would prefer to use Hanmen Next Gen but the body doesn't seem to work well on male characters. Thanks in advance!

Save and reload the character. Its a common issue when switching between default shader and next gen skin shader.

unsolvable issue unfortunately, for one simple reason, in my idiot opinion: there are more FK nodes than there are IK nodes, so there are no direct equalities between them. I don't know exactly which FK nodes are excluded from the conversion to IK, but some of them simply have their values reset to 0 degrees if you go from FK to IK back to FK. It's fucking infuriating, to be honest.

EDIT: I see there's been activity on this so here's more info on how you can actually solve crap like this, but it's not pretty:
For the torso what you can do is use advanced HS2PE to edit the torso rotation so it doesn't protrude. Idk how to do and what to edit for arms though.
I recommend node constraining an empty folder by rotation to the torso and animating that if you're doing animation.

EDIT2: the actual node in HS2PE may be called something with "hips" I'm not sure, but it's right behind the belly button. It should change the belly / torso when you rotate it.
Indeed, can't get solved per se. Eventually this made me go with FK-posing altogether even tho IK-posing looked like Jesus's second coming for a quick second. Yea, I know FK sucks ass and has hard limitations, but strangely you adapt to it rather fast.

Here an FK-only walk (it looks even better with tits bouncing, but I don't have that particular gif handy rn):

Hi So yes , I installed everything from scratch and the penis texture from hooh works for me , but I have a question how exactly to match the skin color to the penis? Do I have to do it completely manually or is there some other way to do it.
What file do you place the mod in, i placed mine in mods folder but cant find the folder on item...

gonna ask a dumbass question someone can hopefully answer, can i use all the maps/props/clothes from the screwthenoise repacks if i want to make vn scenes with them? do you need to make all your own assets for a hs2 vn?

You sure can, just boot up studioneo2 and start adding your characters, maps, and props.

Hey guys, I'm hoping someone can help me with a few things that keep getting lost when I bring them up on the Illusion discord's help section.

I'm working on a VN using studio neo V2, and I'm having a lot of problems with things that I assume are bugs.

First up, when I have a crash, or shut down for the day, loading the scene up again destroys the lighting, and does so in a way that changes the underlying properties, so it isn't like I can just remove all the lights and add them back in. Loading just seems to change the render properties entirely.

For example:

This is extremely annoying for a visual novel where I need consistency in my images, and I don't know if I can continue if this isn't fixed, because larger scenes have hundreds of renders, and this is just not achievable in one session.

The other issue I am having is specifically with Hanmen's graphics mod and the next-gen skins and shaders. First, every time I do an F11 render, my scene is borked, requiring restarting the studio (and thus fucking up the lighting, oh joy!). I don't know what setting in the mod is causing it, as I use quite a few, but my suspicion is the shadows. This is what happens once the render completes:

And a final issue (for now) is with the next gen skin mod. I am getting scenes where the skin is not entirely black like when you use the wrong shader, but is whipped like a sundae of black, and the actual skin:

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and you'd be indirectly helping me jump the biggest hurdle in getting this VN into a playable state. It's all written and planned, 4 epsiodes, 142 scenes. This stage is just being a pain. Many thanks.

Is this issue also happened before?
Might be the new issue generated from the third issue.
Try reverting back the GraphicMods plugin to previous version.

Its the latest GraphicMods fault. The version 1.2 Lite I mean.
The good thing compared to 1.1 Lite is this version solves the slow loading in ver 1.1.
But the major drawback is you can only use CTAA anti aliasing. Many ppl asked Hanmen about this and he said that CTAA isnt made for taking screenshot, so he told us to use different AA. But the issue is that shading persist in all of AA other than CTAA.
So my recommendation is to keep both ver 1.1 Lite and 1.2 Lite.
Use ver 1.2 with CTAA when working on the scene and switch back to 1.1 with different AA when taking a rendered screenshot .

Could you share the scene so we can check it?
In typical fashion, I deleted that scene during a tidy up this week and only had the render left as an example.

As for the advice, thank you so much, and I'll report back if rolling back versions helps. CTAA has been annoying with 1.2 because it doesn't work when I render in 4k as my system res is 3440x1440, so I used FXAA, and from what you said, this is probably the issue. Thanks again, and I'll report back once I get a chance to test it out!

Yep, this was the problem.

I rolled back to 1.1 and the scenes load correctly most of the time, and if they don't I just need to switch the preset and back and it fixes it now. Plus no more broken scenes when hitting F11 using FXAA. Thank you so much!

Check the plugin settings (F1 menu) for the shortcut.
The default shortcut is N key.
I never used it so in my case the shorcut key is cleared out.

Pretty sure you just need to put it inside BepInEx/Plugins. It shouldve been preinstalled if you got BetterRepack.
