There can be a few reasons.You can try to find a cause by loking into logs.
If you aren't familiar with that then the most simple way is to move your mods somwhere else and see if it works fine wothout them.If it helps then try to find the mod by deleteng half of them each time untill you find the broken one.When you find it you can choose: see why it broke your game and try to fix it or remove completely.

Its multiple things, usually they change the shader with material editor and tweak things there, like shadows and rim power. First video i found about it so be sure to search for what you need exactly, there are several video guides in youtube about it.

There is also character lightning like explained in this post, its in japanese but you can copy/paste the image in google search and translate the text there.

I was about to say why would you want it to look like some weirdass MMD video when you can make it look like AnnaAnon?
I been too lazy to get around to it but I can't wait to try and replicate Anon's style of shading.

Considering how popular plastic-looking MMD/SFM videos can be sometimes, I'd imagine some people are really quite into that. But yeah, Anon's stuff is a real good middleground between looking cel-shaded and that plastic look.

Ill be honest with you some of AnnaAnon scenes make my old 1080ti go to 100% fan usage and even the case fans start going crazy making a lot of noise so i havent tried to replicate his excellent shading due to this, maybe when i upgrade my GPU i might try some of that. So for now tweaking the char lightning and some material editing seems to be enough for my eyes.

Damn. Need to upgrade your porn machine, my guy. That should be top priority. Rookie mistake. :oops:

I did it for games but who cares about playing Baldur's Gate when I can slam all the waifus? Terrabytes upon terrabytes of waifus.

Do you have the SofterSelfShadowing plugin enabled, by any chance? If you do, turn it off. Had a bit where I had it enabled and in certain scenes my Koikatsu would drop to 5FPS and my 3060 and even my Ryzen 5600's fan would very angrily whir at me.
