Honestly, I don't care what the people are saying about this, especially with the whole "mightier than thou" shtick that is going on here as of recently.

Those who can't afford to wait for 30 days for a single card would resort to piracy, and I'm one of those people.
As someone who lives in Southeast Asia, in a country where you can't even make any international transaction + have little to no patience, piracy is the only way.

While I get where people are coming from for this defense, but in the end, it is what it is. I will paint myself as an asshole with this, yes, but other people would do the same thing like I did.

Could cut down on some of the e-beggars around here. I only really know of Yata, AntY, and Suou but I know there are way more than that.

Eh, I wouldn't include both of them in this. Shaf had some good points and brought evidence of Makise's mentality. And on the other hand, if being pragmatic, pleasant, and polite is "cringe" to some people then so be it.

I always framed my opinions on the matter as... well... opinions (go back read if you want, it's always "I don't think this will end well" or "I don't know how I feel about this") and if people disagree with that sentiment then I ain't (seriously) judging outside of the offhand remarks. I'm here for the waifus and scenes, the occasional tech support's a pleasant bonus, and my opinions are my own.

Not gonna lie, I was very ready and willing for this whole thing to just get forgotten and moved on from by this point

Also thinking of putting together a wordpress or someshit with common problems like the KK Sunshine Necromorph (elongated limbs) shenanigans and links to Xukmi's FX shaders and other mods commonly asked for.

i theoretically can remove said marked card of one of those creators. but i kinda need to test it by risking someone to get banned.

here to throw my 2 cents in a fire that seemingly is extinguished. my advice to people legit mad/itching about waiting 30days for a character card for a porn game is to back away from the game a bit, this is a hobby, a past time not a full time job, this game shouldn't be anyone's top priority.
This is not a diss or to demean anyone fyi. please take care of yourself.

I just saw that Cetol is also planning to mark his cards in the future. To be honest the community is losing enthusiastic creators and some rest of them are putting up barrier, piracy is not worth spreading anyway.

I'll also start identifying and dealing with leakers. Although they are few now, unchecked sharing of my works without cost can escalate out of control. I plan to mark each card and create individualized cards for each patron. Given the relatively smaller number of my patrons, this is feasible, albeit time-consuming. This seems the best way to avoid impacting other supporters.

For the upcoming anti-leak initiative, card distribution will be staggered. Each patron will receive their cards at different times, as I can't create individual cards for everyone at once. I'll prioritize based on sponsorship level and amount. New patrons might not receive cards immediately, for which I apologize, but this is just a temporary measure for a few months.

After dealing with the leakers, I'll start working on Card V2.0, updating and even remaking popular past works. To prevent leakers from repeatedly creating accounts, upgraded 2.0 versions will only be shared with long-term supporters. 90% of my current list comprises long-term supporters, so this won't affect most of you reading this.

I'm late on the response, but allow me to give my 2 cents as to why this particular card creator, and anyone else who simply time-gates their work, should be given a pass.

The more he earns with creating Cards for KK, the more he'll create. And as long as he hands them over for free eventually in a 30-day span, the longer he keeps doing it, the better for those who don't want to spend a dime. If he earns little to nothing thanks to people quickly sharing his stuff that he's keeping for his patreon pledgers, then we may likely lose someone who gives to the community. And mind you, at this point, the game is p much no longer supported by the devs and is mainly supported by the community. losing a big contributor will hurt KK's longevity.

True that the same can be said for the other creators, but honestly, it won't be as bad since unlike time-gates, many want payment before the cards, so in this case, we actually don't have a choice BUT to commit to piracy if we want their stuff.

I wanted to support a certain creator that had an interesting style, and was literally the only creator to create a card of a certain character that I've always wanted to have (and also created others of the same series that were also very rare, if not non-existent as KK Cards) that I bit the bullet and dropped money on. they initially had a cheap plan in a certain platform (like the equivalent of $1 per card), but for some reason, dropped it and went to a different method of distributing their cards that became more expensive. which is why it bummed me out and I decided to share my loot into the archives.

Honestly, as awesome as it is that you're sharing, it may be better if you keep these cards to yourself if you want to support him. I understand you're impatient. that doesn't mean we are.

If we had other options to support the creators other than dropping cash, like, iunno, clicking multiple ads, or in this case, waiting 30 days, by all means, I'll wait. Some of us will.

Just coz we're pirates, doesn't mean we want to be.
