I would love to see a bit smarter MC. Too soon to judge, but right now she gives this "dumb, gullible woman being blackmailed and raped on every corner" kind of vibe.

Fur can hide quite a bit when you think about it, it could also be retractable like quite a few animals are, who can say with any certainty.
It feels more like a kinetic novel than like a game/VN.
For a game there could be more choices, e.g. she can try to steal the dress or she could talk to shopowner if she can work for it, etc. Trying to steal the dress after looking at it for such a long time and being the only customer is really stupid. And she hardly can wear it anywhere since she had to explain how she got such an expensive dress ...
On the other side the shopowner should have checked if she is 18+, since blackmailing underage teenagers into sexual actions is probably far worse than shoplifting in most countries.

Most devs of female protagonist games don't really put much effort into the reason to get them into sexual situations. Its either make her an idiot or throw in tons of blackmail sometimes both. A lot of people don't care about choices they just want the FMC to get fucked and get fucked often.

Ahhh.. but normally Devs in nowadays put some choice to skip scenes for soft heart people that cannot stand.
Forking software in general is a very expensive practice for developers, for obvious reasons. Please consider that who is developing these game are not massive companies but Devs that are trying to get few pennies for surviving on this planet. Adding forks is just sometime unsustainable

Why are you playing a game at all then? Why not watch hardcore porn?
Well, don't forget that in the 90% of pornographic movies the logic is like: "Omg, were you peeping on me while changing?! Now you f#ck me, understood??!!"
The big difference is :
- in a kinetic novel the dev just tells his story. Hard to identify with the mc.
- in a game the player decides per choices which story he wants to play. Stronger identification with mc due to choices.
Allowing the player to choose between 2-3 paths for each event does not mean that the game splits in 3^N paths after N choices. The available paths may be based on stats.
Examples for the shop event :
- steal the dress, get blackmailed and learn how to BJ (req. low int.)-> - intelligence, + corruption, + BJ
- talk to the shop owner, seduce him, give BJ (req. low virtue) -> + corruption, + seduction, + BJ
- talk to the shop owner, get immorale offer, blackmail him (req. high int.) -> + intelligence, + corruption
- look for a job to work for the dress ... -> + virtue (- corruption)
However if the dev just wants to tell HIS story he does not have to bother with choices and stats ...
A comment on the BJ scene :
