Right? The Mage path starts off somewhat promising. Yet, jump forward and it's almost like he becomes a normal human. With the Alaina mage scene being completely inconsistent with what Elis could do earlier.

And it's not like I want Elis to go out there throwing lightning, teleporting with portals and becoming some Magic Emperor. But using telekinesis? Even Alaina said it was rather simple magic. So why is Elis struggling so much further in the game when he did it earlier with less effort?
Simple answer: the dev forgot

It would be awesome to see Mage MC utilize magic in day-2-day or just combat scenarios, but alas, we get maybe 1% of what should've been. But it's obvious LM either forgets or doesn't have the time to make that small branching just for flavor. The biggest culprits are the Coup and Rebellion update, where the MC just slashes his way with a sword through all the enemies regardless of Warrior or Mage paths. Really should just rename the perk to "Portal buddy" at this point.

Can someone please say how to save Valerian on the rebels path? I clearly remember in previous updates it was possible to save him on rebels path to have the future scene with his mother, but now in 1.0 the scene with him doesn't even appear(only on rebels path) and end credits(of previous update) saying i didn't saved him and there is no scene with Valeria either

If I remember correctly: on the rebel path, you have to select him as Henry's “Temporary Replacement” and then the scene will happen. In Catalina's path, you need to sacrifice her and kill both leaders. In the Lord's path, let Elin save him.

I'm not sure what I might be doing wrong but neither the multi mod nor the cheat mod work, both result in crashes before the game can even start up.

idk about the cheat mod, but it might be possible that you have downloaded an older version of multi mod, which is breaking your old saves.

Thanks! That's helped

For someone who played the game: which path should i pursue if i want to embrace the "middle" road between human and elf heritage?

I am at the point where you get married, so i came in contact with the first white blood interaction. I'm still unaware of what this is, but i know there are more paths named by colors. Just a little hint as much spoiler-free as possible would help me, thx

The “safe option” for marriage is Aurora. As for the path I think White Coronation where you try to always choose “neutral paths” (Like trying to avoid bloodshed in the west).

Anyone knows if there is a fix coming for missing text? There seem to be a lot of empty dialogue boxes in 1.0 from start.

I don't know if this is still spoiler worthy since it was a long time ago but I'll put it in a spoiler anyway.

You probably want the "white" coronation with a marriage to Aurora, which means not killing Cass or agreeing to work with her when she reveals the coup to Elis.

I think I see what's going on. Elin's daughter with the MC either has time powers or cross reality powers...and she seems to have the ability to neutralize both the Red Emperor and Mirtha. But I think that's the correct path...I think the spirits warning the MC against her are either agents of the Red Emperor or Mirtha...but I think those two are just two sides of the genocide coin. I don't believe Mirtha's intentions are any better than the Red Emperor's. She wants to slaughter humans whereas the Red Emperor wants to slaughter elves. None of the elves we've run into so far besides the Queen have been anything but enemies to the MC and humanity. Now it is believed that not all elves are bad but we haven't seen any who aren't. So I'm not buying into Mirtha's BS. I think both of them are terrified of Elin's daughter.

What is the benefit of joining and not joining the coup? I saw someone said it will have much less content to play if not joining?

I haven't joined the coup and have no intention of doing so but basically the gist of it is the MC becomes Cass's pawn as she blackmails him...she needs him to be the figure on the throne as she can't rule herself but he falls under her control...unless he finds a way to kill her. Sooo yeah...I don't see why anyone would want that.

The Coup can be approached plenty of ways.

- You can side with Cass before it starts. Assuming you have enough points with her. Getting the Green path.

- You can side with Cass before it starts. Assuming you have enough points with her. Then you can let Callahan or whatever his name is kill Cass. Getting the Red path.

- You can kill Cass before it starts. This results in the coup instantly failing for her allies. So less content. Which is the White Path?

- You can allow the Coup to play out and join Cass in the prison. Which leaves you pretty much neutral. Green path?

- You can allow the Coup to play out and join Cass. Then with Isis as your wife, you can have her kill Cass via being the better schemer of the two. Red path.

- You can allow the Coup to play out and stay in prison. This allows you to escape and capture Cass. Which also allows you to handle how you want to deal with her. Either being able to execute her, fix her or turn her into your pet. People die on this path though, like Ludwig. But you do get some lewd scenes with Queen and Elin after successfully escaping and beating them. White path.

There's also some variation depending on if you know Priscilla or not. She escapes if you don't know her. The "best" path would be the white one where you stay in prison and prevent the coup. You get more scenes with Queen and Elin that way. However, if you're into Cass, then the best path is to join the Coup before it starts. That way you get more scenes with her. That should cover just about everything. Minus some bits and pieces here and there.

Honestly, nobody of value is lost in her sad little coup. Even Ludwig survives as a cat. But you get to see a lot more of Alaina's treachery and start to piece together things a lot better. I think letting Cass's coup play out and escaping means you can actually gain far better control of the situation and you can even keep Cass around as a pet...which should pay out with more scenes later on. Plus it's exactly what Cass deservers...letting her control the MC is a major NO, and killing her means no future scenes with her. Plus White Emperor is the best path imo.

I see, thanks for answering, and may I ask what is the color flag represent for? Does it lock the future contents, like red lock other plot expect the southern or green lock others expect western? Or it just related to the ending about red emperor and elf godness?

The paths for Red/Green/White Emperor aren't very clear right now in terms of their full implications. For now Red presumably means more aligned with Red Emperor but I don't think that locks out major choices in how you handle conflicts so it's a bit unclear. Green probably means you're more aligned with the elves as Cass was more of a pawn herself even though she has power over the MC. And white is presumably more of a neutral or middle path. That's my read anyway.
