You read the entire thing completely differently from me. For one the main reason why I'm pretty sure Alaina said nothing to Elis is because Cass was like "it's ok I got it" and no not really Cass didn't do anything other than continuously tell Elis to antagonize Regis. The fact that she's his sister makes it worse that she was keeping secrets not better. I can by that Alaina could feel that Elis is not mature or trust worthy enough to handle things
I really see no reason to trust Cass over Alaina. I think every character who says they want Elis to rule means it, they just want him to rule their way. Elis is a puppet no matter what

I'm not talking about JUST the Cass Coup situation. I'm talking about any of her plans for him in general. It's quite clear he's key to whatever it is she has planned. Anybody can see that. But she makes no effort ever to actually involve him as an equal in anything, or even just tell him what's going on, unless she feels she has to.
That's the problem and the big difference between them for me. Cass reveals all, as soon as she feels like she can trust Elis. As she wants him on her side working WITH her. Alaina meanwhile, hasn't revealed jackshit to him. Even though she had this whole situation at the start of the game orchestrated so she could be the one raising and looking after him during his entire childhood.
Bro, If you just decline Cass's offer. She straight up offers Elis a knife to kill her, then and there. As she sees it as being deserved for being stupid and trusting somebody she shouldn't have. And also seeing that her plans are now likely fucked, as she needed Elis on her side if they were to have any chance of working.
Compare that to Alaina, who when in a similar circumstance of being turned down and called out. Instead flees with a portal (like a coward), but only after threatening the MC with "remember what I know" as if she's gonna try and blackmail him with that knowledge...
It feels clear as day to me at least. That Cass always wanted to work WITH Elis, even in the different paths. Whereas Alaina, instead just wants to control Elis. Like the damn dirty Elf that she is...
Also hello. If you need another reason for trusting Cass over Alaina. Only one of them ever actually FOLLOWED THROUGH on killing someone close to them to further their own goals...Cass threatening to kill Lia, even though she never would. Vs Alaina killing Cass's Mother as soon as she found a better option...It's simple really.

So am I, literally all Cass has done this entire time is tell him what to do then keep him in the dark until something important comes up. Cass is always running the show in all their interactions and Elis is basically just going on with it.
If I recall she doesn't always do that. She only does it if you have enough relationship points. Either way if you say no she still tries to start a coup and Imprision you. I like Cass fine but she really is not any different from Alania in anyway aside from being his sister. If anything Alania is far less involved.
One is her sister the other is one's sister the other is some noble woman she barely knows. Cass kills plenty of people because it's convenient and she admits to doing it. She literally admits to getting an alms giver killed for her own benefit.
No matter what fantasy game there is always some dude that thinks fantasy racism is the funniest shit ever, I always just find it annoying. Frankly Alania hasn't really shown any evidence that she's against Elis in anyway. Her keeping him in the dark seems to be more about thinking he's dumb which he kind of is

From what I remember involving that. You have to have Mage and get Cass to lose against her during the truth or dare. After which, you tell the mage at the castle about it. Then later, help her with Lockhart.
I don't check for those things though. So I don't know if that's exactly what will trigger it. If you're on her path, I feel the rest of it will naturally trigger during her events.

No. She does. You already have enough points with her if she's invited you to the meeting to begin with. So it basically says to me, that she was, and is all in on Elis working with her. That if he turns her down, she realises it's kind of fucked and is willing to let him kill her. And as for doing it anyway. Well obviously she does, she even tells you she will before she offers the chance to kill her. I mean first of all, she's hellbent on getting revenge against her mothers "killer". And second, she's trying to save the empire from her fathers passivness. So you know her goals pretty quickly, and I respect them tbh. Meanwhile, I don't give a shit about Alaina and her "The Elven Cause"

She went straight to Alaina for help. It would be a bit weird if she just went to someone she "barely knows" to help her cover it up imo.
As for Cass. As I said before. I understand and respect her motives for doing so. She's trying to amass her own power in an attempy to try and save the empire in her way. And I'm so down for that and respect it.
Because it is...I've played hundreds and hundreds of games. I've been the goody two shoes hero SOOOO many times. So you can bet your arse that if I find one, that can give me the option to be a little bit of a "villain" and murder the fantasy race I dislike the most, generally speaking. I think the intended difference between these two sub-paths for Seraphina is:At that point if LM was trying to convey that with seraphina, then he should have put together the love and lust into one.
Someone who loves and lusts vice versa and dealing with the internal dialogue that she wants to do it but tries to hold back with love for elis growing as well.
Yeah it makes sense for lust but love is just out of nowhere.
- Love: she genuinely falls in love with MC and ends up having his children out of love?
- Lust: she becomes MC's concubine. On this path, she never bears MC any children as she isn't in love with MC, they just use each other for sexual release.
Did all that but still just mind reading 1. I got the first scenes about reading each other's minds and asked the old mage about it, but URM showed one instance that called for mind reading 2. When is this second point supposed to be given?

Point 1: in Chapter 2: You must allow Elin to win. The dialogue at night after that, triggering it.
Point 2: Talk to Lockhart, she'll ask you to help with him.
EDIT::I could be wrong, but maybe the value of 2 is given if you're not playing as a mage. Then there'll be a scene with Elin in Episode 9 where you're swimming underwater and you're reading each other's minds.

Just started this one, and it appears to be a good game, but even when you choose English as the language, some of the text is in Russian. Even some of the scenes where there is a choice to make has Russian text as one of the choices. For instance, when the choice is apparently to go with Cass to the Thermae after the council meeting. The dev needs to play through game in English and identify where Russian text is still present.

Yeah, that's the biggest complaint about the 1.0 sex scene... the Love path did not build up to it at ALL.Well, so far, on the love path, it doesn't seem like they have any feelings at all. Maybe that will happen in the future, but for now, the corruption path feels more like the love path.
The Lust path feels like a culmination of both, but given that it only happens because MC tampers with Seraphina's lust-reducing tonic, it firmly belongs on the "corruption" path - whereas on the "Love" path, she 'consciously' decides to have sex with MC, no matter how ham-fisted the whole scene turned out.

Just an FYI, the patch is only for script up to 0.2 content - the "Definitive Edition" of Imperial Chronicles that I'm working on is currently on 0.5 content, but I'm not releasing it until I can complete the whole Chapter 1 (with a closed Beta test for when I finish the 0.6 content, a.k.a. the Coup update).
Btw, all script files are in russian. Where are the script files for English? Is it some MTL auto translation tech?

The "script" files for the English are dialogue translation strings only - the core script is written in Russian, and as such, changing it as is would break the built-in English translation.
where can I read this translation strings? There are so many blank lines of dialogues throughout the game.

True, but that is weird to have with love and lust on the queen
especially when said queen has shown both sides in the lust route plus does not make sense for the queen to have duality of it though.Compared to Elin where corruption and love makes sense especially with how the first sex scene between them get portrayed.
I just wish moving forward LM can look at said scenes and be like "I will do this character sex scene right"
Man, Mage MC is so fucking useless at fighting. It's ridiculous how he acts like he doesn't know any magic despite supposedly focusing on his magic studies all his life. He never uses magic in battle.
