So in this equation it isn't Cass who is important but its the act of ''murder" by Elis. I mean it makes sense in a way but I dunno man.
From what I recall of a previous discussion here about it. It's essentially saying that snakes have reflections themselves. Not exactly in the same way as Elis family curse of reflection.

Elis not directly killing one moves the position to the reflection of said snake out there. He has to do it with his own hands for it to count. Just like when he kills Cass before the coup. Otherwise, it's believed to keep going.

How to get the chain horse and what are the most brutal decisions in the game for the red path?
Choose Isis, agree to Cass's coup plan

Then Isis will suggest killing Cass to make a perfect plot twist for the red path

Then you simply kill, kill everyone you can kill
(Western Lord or Rebels) or Kill one of the 2 important people at the end of the chapter

I made it even worse for MC by raping Val and corrupting Seraphine and Elin

--------------

Or you can choose the "Green Crown" path where you see even Cass is really wary of Isis when your wife is "The Real Storm"

There's honestly something twisted about having Cass blow Elis several times. Even fucking her. Only to have her killed before going back to Aurora. Anyway, I finished checking this out.

Chain Horse appears and there's empty cages in Elis vision with Una. So that's correct. However, Cass shows up again in the red path. Even with Aurora as the wife. So I would say this thing affects all of the paths. Some Cass simp must've used Cass Mind Control on the dev and he put her in all routes.

Anyway, from what I checked. Dead Cass appears regardless of which wife you chose. The only variant comes in the form of if Cass was spared in the prison. To which the scene progresses as intended. It seems this bug was overlooked. Or the dev underestimated how many people actually killed Cass when making the scene.

I havent finished the update yet but i have some thoughts. Im not sure if the pay off all will be good in the future but one thing i truly like about the game's lore is presentation. Those brief visions are just so ominous i fucking love them

I also love how much I either dont understand or just simply dont know who or what to trust?

Is Selina trust worthy? Surely she is but what the hell was that demon-ish figure? Didnt the atmosphere resemble the same if you pursue your mother? Does it want us to corrupt and go for incest? Should i keep choosing options that gives me visions? Fuck

I wanted to accuse Alaina to test the loyalty of mom, but the choice of exile or completely deranged murder was a no go. I don't remove any females from my run voluntarily (gotta catch em all mindset lol). Was hoping for imprisonment and turn into slave like Cass lol.

Well you can just savescum to see her loyalty test for yourself. She's 100% loyal in my books. She struggles with it a bit, asks for the reason and hints she would rather you didn't make a move against her. But then agrees to help and tells Elis she would always be on his side. Then doesn't hesitate at all to use magic on Alaina when she resists. My GOAT Elf.

As for the imprisonment thing. Wouldn't work with her, same as the banishment in my eyes. She knows too much and she's way too powerful, so she has to be killed. Letting her go is just such a stupid risk if you don't trust her to begin with. And unless you're willing to kill her, you might as well just leave her be then.

Also sidenote here. But just saying, the "deranged murder" was highly satisfying in my books. WOULD RECOMMEND to all. (y)

Most likely a broken save. Did you use any mods beforehand? Those tend to bork saves, as my playthrough on a vanilla game (only URM used) was completely playable.
I never used any mods and I only started playing with version 1.0 so I don't see how it could have gotten messed up.

But Isis cant kill Cass if you supported her coup that option is only when you dont participe in the coup otherwise you only get the option to kill cass through callahan.

Agreed, also I felt that the queen's reaction was a bit sus when Elis called her out but at the end of the day he's her son and as for Alaina I feel the same , It won't be fair to Cass to banish her, and also I am waiting to see how Alaina's actions will affect the fate of the Elves. Also the change in tune of Elis at the last felt a bit too ominous like he was leaning towards the "hot" in his blood i.e The Red Emperor.

I don't know why we would murder her with our own hands like that. That's completely over the top lol. Totally psychotic, tbh. Mom and sis did not approve.

Plus, Alaina DOESN'T shout out the bombshell truth that could seriously mess up MC's political standing even as she is getting beat to death. From her point of view, she didn't do anything wrong, and she even says so. Why only her and not mom? Why is what she did so wrong to MC? She made sure MC got to where he is now. And she already told him everything earlier. It's pretty much a grey character that had understandable motivation and wanted to maneuver the MC onto throne one way or another, for the hope that he would make favorable decisions about elves due to his half-blood nature.

But anyways, that's the cool thing about this story. Every faction has aspects that you can sympathize with and aspects you might find wrong.
